I know this is trundling along on the LPC thread, but more people need to get into this!

London has always had a league, it would be a shame for it to fade out.

PDFCOMM has made a proposal.

There are teams currently being formed. Yes, it's a bit slow but fingers crossed we'll get good numbers.

I definitely want to play, though, I'm not in London at present (will be back the following week). Hence, no idea about a team or the teams being formed.

Don't mind the format as long as everyone else is happy.

Proposal A (Chukker, Punkture, Max)
Match Format
-3v3 teams
-Three 15-minute games
-Seeding by poll ranking of teams

-If more than 10 teams, league split in two divisions
-If two divisions, playoff of middle three teams in order to determine positions

Proposal B (Emmet)
Match format
-Team Phoenix (North) versus Team Dragon (South).
-Each team will have an equal number of squads that will play each squad from the opposing team twice.
-Points earned by a squad contribute to their team’s overall score.
-Squads: 5-6 players

-Games last 35 minutes
-3 points for a win. 1 point for a draw. Golden goal?

Proposal C (Dubkev)
Format
-3 v 3.
-3 x 15min games per fixture.
-Subs 'ladder' rule applies. You can only go up, not down.
-One out of towner allowed per team

-If two divisions (10 or more teams), first fixtures in the year would be the top two from Div B and the bottom two from Div A all playing each other in a round-robin.
-The results of this mini playoff would determine which division the team would play in for the rest of the league.
-Results from this count towards final standings.

Proposal A - 3v3 (Chukker, Punkture, Max) won with 9 out of 16 votes (56%) in the first round (no need to go to alternative votes).

Deadlines:

28 Oct: Final registration for teams
1 Nov: First fixtures released (there will be a playoff first between the middle three or four teams if there are more than 10 teams)

League VII teams:

Payment of £15 per team must be submitted to mgvidal@gmail.com via Paypal (subject: "League VII fee"). Please make full team payments only (not individual members). Registration fees put toward badges and beer.

Been a bit sleepy around here. Any objections to moving the deadline up a bit to get things moving?

I'm after a team, been meaning to come and play for he last month but life has got in the way/I've been slack.

Will bring lefty bullshit and mid-league mediocrity to any team.

All good and will go with the consensus of the masses.
