Ha! Indeed

Could have waited for photos then...

I'm sure Prolly is a very busy man and can't wait for no zip tie nonsense
-
• #9455
Cutting the zip ties off for pictures would have been my approach.
Those di2 cables make me nervous. And look hideous in this case.

Might be selling my Focus Mares AX if anyone is interested... Hydro disks, Ali frame, carbon forks, SRAM 1x11 set up (Force 1 crankset), size 56, vg condition... PM me if you're interested!

That rear dropout is ugly.
I'm inclined to agree. It's a Paragon Machine Works item, and it works perfectly well, but I've never understood why builders leave the long flat plate section on the DS chainstay. It's necessary on the NDS as that's where the flat mount caliper mount lives, but on the DS it just seems unnecessarily fugly. Other than that, I don't find them too offensive.

P. S. Obviously, this way of doing flat mount calipers is much purdier. Quite labour intensive though.

I think it also comes down to how the transition between the stay and the drop out plate is managed. If it's nicely slotted and brazed on it can actually look okay, but if there is a visible ugly weld joint it just looks bad.

That doesn't help, sure. Neither does the location of the cable stop.

Yes, hope they will sell the forks separately.

weird proportions - looks like a kids bike.
the fat tapered headtube looks all wrong with the skinny monostay rear to me.nice colour though.
-
• #9464
Tapered steel forks rarely look good, but a 44mm headtube would help visually.
-
• #9465
The chainstay taper and angle certainly isn't doing it any favours
-
• #9466
FTFY... Tapered steel forks rarely are required
-
• #9467
Why use a headtube like on a lo pro track bike when your customers are going to need a foot of spacers?
-
• #9468
Thanks for saving me the time posting that. Nice frame (assuming the hanger isn’t standard). Awful build.

To mount a bag attached to the toptube and steerer?

Is that a wireless dropper?
-
• #9472
I may be cycling with the owner of that tomorrow :/ I really don't care much for the rainbow drive train & pointless dropper post.
-
• #9473
Yes

That cassette/paint fade is really pissing me off. It seems like a totally different kind of blue to the rest of the frame.

Dropper posts make a lot of sense on off road bikes, if you actually ride them hard.
