  • This worrying truth in combination with my earlier concerns made me puke a little

    Still would tho

  • Also not even #tukt

    Fuck

  • No doubt. I'd run it puke dribbling down my Rapha any day.

  • Having ridden the Slate off road wit it's Olive fork, that does look a bit promising.

    Still prefer te Slate.

  • I'm not sure I'd want a suss fork....
I'm taking my sequoia in for its first service today....I've never bothered before, but I can't find out what spoke it needs for the one I broke with the run in with the stick. I also want to talk to the mechanic (who is very good) about fitting a hollowtech BB and an old XT 9 speed crank I have.....I think it would be stiffer and lighter than the current thing that's on there. I can also pick their brains about the availability of the aftermarket 650b wheels and the carbon fork, as specialized' site is not Pat friendly!
With the carbon fork, I can lose 900 grams!

I still love it t though!

  • Are those Sawtooth tyres... any good?

  • If you can get the fork after market, that would be very interesting indeed, please let us know.

  • I'm positive this is NOT a part of the big "S" retail strategy

  • To be fair, the tyres are very good.....I've got them 35psi front, 40 rear and that is a good compromise between rolling on the Tarmac and comfort on the gnarmac! The grip is incredible too. I asked today at my lbs about getting the tanwall version when I wear these out, but they don't seem to be selling them either. I nearly bought the middle version, just for the look of the tyres, but I'm glad I didn't, as it would piss me right off if I couldn't buy replacements when they wore out!

  • I asked the bloke at the shop to find out for me, as he has been around for years and has some good contacts....it doesn't look good though! Same for the tanwall sawtooth tyres, and no sign of the 650b version of the Wheelset either...... He will be trying hard though, as wants a set of the bars for himself.

  • 427 a2c 45 rake (dunno if this is sagged or not) still kind of fucks up the geo of any cx or gravel bike.

lauf is 409mm (sagged) & 47, which is probably ok i'd guess.

  • Fortunately it look like you can buy those tyres in shop like Bike24.

Your alternative is the schwable G-one which is excellent in both road and off.

  • Oh that it definitely will, however it doesn't stop manufacturer from making a frame base on it in the future.

  • ye. rs-1 style fork would make more sense aesthetically. But yeah fox has made it clear that is a prototype and they are considering shorter and slimmer real one.

  • No tanwall in the G-1 though?

  • Ah nice one... I'm thinking about getting some 650Bs in the near future so I can have a set of road and off road wheels (instead of buying a road bike) these would be great for the road wheels as I don't think I could go back to skinny tyres now.

  • Dat TT
