This one?
Canti studs look a bit naff and non-compact bars are not for me.
Having never ridden a bike competetively I'm not that concerned with weight.I can't totally understand buyer's remorse and why not all people will want a Surly.
I was just trying to make the point that there's a reason they cost more money.

This is what I what I got from them about a month ago, before I decided that I don't really want a drop bar bike.
The price from factory should be as below:
One set of sample : US$480.00 with frame, fork, seat post, clamp.
headset: US $12.00
F&R axle: US $26.00EMS Courier(door to door) freight charge: US$85.00
Which size do you prefer ?
We have frame with BB86 and BSA68 of bottom bracket in stock , which do you prefer ? -

Annoyingly, they didn’t have any 68mm shell frames in my size so I went for 386.
I do wish I had threaded...

Soma Fog Cutter or VO Pass Hunter, but they are quite rare.

I do like it... but... I would still have to buy new wheels, and I'd buy new BB and Headset too just because, oh and prob cassette, and if I'm getting new wheels I'd get thru bolt obvs and if I have thru bolt I could just get a Fairlight so I'd end up selling this for £200 before I'd even built it up.
It's a slippery slope.

Yeah, Amey literally linked to it.
The more I see it the more I like it, but all my points still stand...

As Iam new to the Forum i wanted to show you my bike, i hope its the right thread for it. Standart Specialized Sequoia with Pizza rack and a custom rolltop porteur bag. Really need to upgrade the drivetrain and add a dynamo hub, but still love it :)

I have the Fairlight and my other half has the Norco. It's decent for the money, nicely finished and builds up well. I did have a slight issue with paint on the rear flat mount actually but that was easily resolved with a bit of dremelling.
The Fairlight is a lot more special but you have to pay basically 3x as much for it.

for all its mooted versatility (bottle bosses, rack mounts etc)... why does the arkose not have mounts on the front fork for a front rack ? seems like a weird omission, since most adventure bikes of this type tend to have them

Looks great.
Two things.
