  • Good question. It's the splatter lime camo one from 2014 (I think), so yes? That's good to know, thanks.

  • maybe someone knows carbon gravel forks models tapered to have rack or cage mounts?
Bombtrack is not for sale as I understood

  • Damn keep wanting this fork but HSBC says I don’t need it

  • Yes me too, I just wish it had a drilled crown.

  • it's been slightly cut. price reduced. just buy it

I'll do a photo with good DOF if it helps

  • Okay, I could go for these, wanted black fyxation spartas, but, these would look nice... hmmmm

  • Not come across these before.

  • That Curve's steel thing... grovel or kevin or whatever?

  • Kevin of Steel.
    Clearances seem a bit needless. 650b x 2.2!

  • to be honest it looks exactly the same as a Bombtrack Hook EXT (same factory i guess) but for 5 times the price

  • (same factory i guess) but for 5 times the price

    Millennial yuppie bike buyer bingo!

    "but its so nice" etc

  • So many nice pictures of that bike in Jesse Carlsson's instagram tho

  • Different tubing, yoke, dropouts etc... How much difference there is IRL though remains to be seen.

  • Not sure what your budget is but how about a Trek Checkpoint-alr-4 . It has most of your options. Can be run SS or geared. I test rode one a month ago. Felt planted and stable (but not boring).

  • @cake or is it the rear wheel you need?

  • Yeah. Is out of my price range.

It's all dreams and wishes tbh. A bike fit and new wheels will do me right.
    Maybe a lower gear too....

  • How much if it isn’t now sold?

  • I can get a set of new standard Arkose wheels for around £100 that I'm debating having as a second set for road use - this a good deal?

  • I've got a set on my Isen, as I needed 12mm thru front, qr rear. Think i paid around £120.

So far they're pretty bombproof, roll well enough and have remained true even after a guy on a mtb rode head first into me today. They're not particularly light, if you care about such things. May have changed spec between models but mine are 6 bolt novatec hubs on alex volar 2.1 tubeless ready rims. Only thing to note is that they're 21mm internal, so prob not advisable to run anything less than 27-28mm tyres and the tyres you do run will prob come out a bit fatter if they're in the 27-32mm range.

  • Sealed bearing ones?

  • Yes I believe so. They're exactly the same as the ones that came with my Arkose 4

  • Cheers for the heads up man! I wasn't sure of their price on their own but I think I'll end up going for them.

  • Me wanting a bowman 6 months ago

  • No worries. Yeah i had that dilemma as it meant I was paying a similar price to a new pair of aksiums. In the end I went for them as 32 spokes makes sense on a bike that will be used all year round and carry luggage, plus I've had good experiences with novatec hubs.
