700x45 is easily doable - biggest I tried was 35mm w/ 45mm mudguards and still had to space the rear mudguard out front for clean lines

Its a mtb thing. Literally a mud guard

Ive got a datum and the BB has never proved an issue , the thru axle mix has also never been an issue. Its one of my favourite bikes, fast and comfy.

I was about to pick up the Kinesis Tripster ATR, but the Datum for £750 is too good to pass up.

Did you just whack a Shimano BB in there or go with an after market solution like Praxis/Wheels MFG?

Tubeless 35mm+ tyres for a loaded on/off-road bikepacking trip later this month? Currently have some quite-worn 35mm G-One allroads but think they will struggle in the muddier sections

Any tire good in mud will be a bit shit in road and vice versa

It was a custom build so not a standard Genesis build. Depends if just frameset or other bits as well - groupset/wheels?
