I realised the next incarnation of the Arkose likely to have 12mm thru axles on both wheels, meaning it’s also likely to share the Pinnacle MTB derailleur hanger.
Sometimes in the future I’ll fit the latest Di2 shifter and a rear MTB derailleur, bit the like Arkose Di2 bar the TRP Hylex.

Does anyone have any experience of destickering these?

I may order an XL Pyrolite into your place this week coming. Jamis rebuild is also ongoing.

You'll find the Pyrolite more nimble to ride on account of a steeper headtube compare to says, the Arkose and even the Dolomite.
Still a mite annoying that the seat tube is too slack for me.

Too slack compared to?

Just for me, I need at least 74 degrees due to my awkward body shape, nothing wrong with the seat tube angle on the Pyrolite as it fit the majority of cyclists.

G-One Bite look good, come in a decent sizes and apparently better for wet and muddy condition, 650b 2.1 make it perfect for Arkose/Pyrolite;

for a mix of road and gravel, given that we live in damp UK, does g one bite make more sense than g one speed? or is g one speed good enough in the wet anyway.
-
• #3236
Speed appear much more focussed for road riding (feel slick), with the accidental towpath, whether Bite is the exact opposite.

Hm. Got 2 rides in April - first ist 130km (30% gravel, 70% road) and second is Dirty Reiver (80% gravel, 20% road)
Don't have budget for 2 sets of tires, wondering what is best to go for.

Reckon you can get away with your existing road tyres on the 130km ride, from your calculation, you got about 90km of road riding, I did ride the standard G-One 40mm on the road and was pleasantly surprise at how easier it is to roll on the tarmac.
Given the location and date of Dirty Reiver, it's not gonna be 100% dry, maybe go for the standard G-One, personally would go for the G-One Bite for better traction off road than on road if given the choice.

Did he just shave off the rear tyres' knobs to gain more clearance?
-
• #3241
yeah, definitely looks like some surgery to clear the stays

Would have been easier and smarter to fit a racing ralph - double rocket ron is an error

If you like, I do have a pair of WTB Riddlers (tanwall, wired) in 700c 37mm I can sell to you for £25? it came with my Arkose and never even been ridden as I swapped the wheels for 650b.

G-One Bite.
Couldn't find any in 700c a couple of weeks ago. I thought it might be good on the front (regular G-One out the back).

That's either going to clog ... or Ralphs aren't needed.

They are just messing about in snow with them.
They make and market bikes, they are showing the versatility of the frame, nothing more, nothing less.

Say no more.
Yup, hanger length on the 2016 Arkose wasn't bad either, I remember being stumped that the SS Di2 derailleur pushed 36t on the back without grinding. Mind you, this was with a 46t 1x setup.
Especially with the Shadow derailleurs, would be a doddle and wouldn't have to worry about destroying hangers constantly.
