Lovely.
Love Bicycle Links. They are my go to lbs since the Dandy Horse closed. -

I know! Liz got me a SS Pashley Guv’nor for my 40th and now this for my 50th. I am a lucky bastard really.
@SasenFrAsen ooh she a keeper for sure, after 28years she gets me.
@jdp it’s a cracker. Yeah the team @ bicycle links are a great bunch. Nothing is too much trouble.

Some gravel in Tuscany.
Bike is a massively oversized rental, I am not a giant.

Is that a new niche? Cold gravel?

Still not worth coming to East Devon.
Unless you like big dogs:

Where is this in East Devon?

Not worth it to go from 34 to 36 max cog IME. It's a very small difference. Unless you need a new cassette anyway.

I mean it’s technically Somerset, sadly, but since I’m east Devon 4lyf….

Drop in a mountain bike chainset and front mech?
SLX 38, 28t double and an SLX front mech will work with Shimano 105. -

Can confirm there’s no gravel in the Cotswolds

You probably can get away with 11-40t, probably.
46/30t chainset if the front derailleur can be lowered further.

Lovely stuff.
Whereabouts in Fife are the photos taken?
I visit pals in Anstruther every now and then but I’ve never took a bike with me. -

Tentsmuir forest! So nice even with half the paths blocked by fallen trees :)

Fife is shite don’t come.
Another entry into the Groads for me. Liz had this built for me at bicycle links in Norwich for my birthday. She/they have done an excellent job. Especially as Liz has no real idea about bikes other than she loves her eBike and Jimmy (giant TCX). They went with 700x40c on DTSwiss rims and hubs in case I finally got the 650b wheels I’ve been looking at for months.
Anyway here it is my new Surly.
