Why don't you just try one cassette from the shop? 11 speed with the long cage shifts a lot better with the 36t cassette than with a 46t. Pretty sure I could still get a bigger or a smaller cassette as there's still some b-screw to play with. If anything, I'd expect AXS to shift better.

buy a GRX long cage
Lol, good luck.

For someone only riding in the dry because 1mm of tyre clearance it was far too much.

Why 11 speed instead of 12?
-
• #19007
Because that's what I got. Anyways, there's rumours of SRAM releasing 45t cassettes with road derailleurs and gravel sized droppers.
I'd still try the 36t with the Eagle derailleur if you have the chance, it may just work. -

more and more I get the feeling that "gravel bikes" and the associated paraphernalia are just a massive pisstake coordinated by bicyclepubes

He seems to be obsessed with those "roadies".

Deep inside he wishes to be one, a bit like certain kind of homophobes fantasize with guys.

PLP doesn't take themselves too seriously, #gravelspecific etc very tongue-in-cheek despite it being their brand.

One thing I’ve noticed is that pretty much all the “weird” branches of cycling have it in for roadies. Most of the roadies I’ve met seem to be cool with other folks on bikes.

Even roadies ‘hate’ on roadie culture. Self-depreciation is a very English trait and the fullgas, shaved, euro-roadie is an identity best not taken too seriously. Save that energy for later or The Real Issues (weighing shoes and force-feeding beetroot juice for example).
I'm with you mate, paint looks awesome, well worth it.
I clean my bikes when they're dirty, weird I know.
