It says they draw power from the wheels rotating. Assuming it has some dynamo internals, that's a max of ~6W. I wonder how long it takes whilst riding to change the tyre pressure by significant amount on a 6W compressor?

And how many time are you supposed to change tire pressure during a ride?
-
• #17629
Yeah, but imagine not having to stop to drop 2psi ahead of that 30m(eters) long descent and beat all of your mates to that perfect content creating spot

I need this.

Maybe if they have a tiny cache battery the compressor could be stronger

If it works ... they should market it for commuters. Imagine checking tyre pressure and inflating whilst you ride to work. I feel dizzy, take my money etc

I've definitely seen this kinda thing on an old Japanese wheel, a bit more of an analogue operation but having a hose going from the hub to the valve was oddly satisfying.

If Iβm understanding correctly the pump is driven mechanically by the rotation of the wheels. Only the clutch and valves are electronic.

Yeahh this looks like a fresh version of the same hub, shame the shop wouldn't let me take it π

One of those Walrus Polishing Kits you're more likely to see on a shopping channel at 3am than on anyone's bike.

don't buy the g-one speed 50mm! in 650b or 700c. it handles really poorly. it will heavily self steer in sharp corners. caused me to crash once and nearly a few other times. i love that tire in 30mm, 35 and 38. but the 50mm versions are not good.

Which one of you was it on the black canti brake caad who startled me on the Icknield Way yesterday? I tried to run after you to explain that you need to make the switch to discs and you need narrower tyres to help cut through the slop but I couldn't catch up.

You need narrower shoes

I wish I'd used that excuse for my last crash! ;)
Only used in 38 so can't validate.

So many horses out these last few days.
Glad the message is finally getting through. I look forward to the many bargain Arkose in classifieds.

Does anyone know what the max 650b tyre size Columbus Futura Gravel forks can take?
-
• #17650
650b trending again in the gravel thread, this is good, this is progress
Makes a lot of sense, I've never been able to use other specific pumps for bigger or smaller tyre sizes by either pumping a different amount of times or with a different amount of force. Finally the invisible hand is pushing down at the exact right force to inflate 700x42c in a prompt but easy manner.
