If you spend your life riding on the road and then suddenly throw yourself down loose rocky shit then I'm taking every helper feature I can. I'd wear body armour if the Earth had enough kevlar to make it.

It's a squeeze but I can fit 40mm tyres on mine. Geometry differentiates it from a gravel bike a fair amount though, way twitchier.
