Couple of updates on my grav beater, 48cm driser bars, new hoods and some mash tape I had laying around. 48 feels perfect.

That look good, the bar doesn’t seemed to have any flare?

Minimal flare, and it’s in the drop rather than flare from the top; everyone going mad for flare but to be honest I tried it and don’t like it, puts hood at a stupid angle that I don’t find comfortable.

Is your reach still good? Or no real effect.

The flare requires a different bike set up I feel (like MTB bar set up).

When I have the Cowchipper, it’s great but it feel like it benefit more if the handlebar is higher and more off road.
I agree, I only just got one bar that 100% work for me is the Salsa Cowbell that’s slightly more flare than your.

The bars I had on before were slightly longer reach and 44 between the hoods. as I’m quite broad the 48 feels a bit weird but very natural, slightly shorter reach overall I think which was the aim. The tyres are great; ridiculous grip off road and roll ok on tarmac. Got the same in 650x45 on my fugio. Put these back on after multiple tubless disasters with g one all rounds.

Maybe so but I really don’t likehoods at an angle, personal preference I suppose.

How big do the650 45s come up? Thinking of putting them on my cdf

There is no gravel. Reality is an illusion. Gravel, doubly so.

That design document is stunning both in itself (presentation and content), and the subject matter. I really really want one of these now.
