OMG, more of this please Have you got a CP thread or Pedalroom?

cheers! it's still evolving... this was the previous version. That stem was too short and bars/levers too uncomfy and a bit bothersome with the cables over the bars. Triathlon water bottle holder was not very suitable for off road riding either, lots of dropped bottles. Found a bottle cage double mount, which is funky but nice, only have to watch out when I get out of the saddle to accelerate.

Cheers. thought so but there is a bargain on the R2 in S. Damn

You could get away with it. Depends what you are doing with it. Mine's a dad and lad commuting mule in medium - I'm 5.8". Feels spot on for general dad and lad muling and commuting duties. I'm borderline T-Rex with a 32" inseam.
You'd need a longer stem but if you are long torso shorter legs then it might be better if you want to ride it super hard.

For a friend. Just general cyclist.
He told me another bike he had and arkose is 20mm shorter reaches in small. So likely too short.
-
• #11160
Yeah maybe not then.
-
• #11161
Yeah, I get what you mean, bike may still be rideable if one size smaller but the fit end up closer to a race fit with lots of seatpost and slightly longer stem.

I'm probably an exception , I don't remember being called t-rex at school but 5' 9" and ride a Small Arkose with 90mm stem but my bike fit pushes me toward shorter reach frames.
Are Evans doing test rides?

I’m sure mine was a medium and I’m 6ft 1
Set up as a road bike though with long stem and low front

I’m also 5’9” and ride an Arkose medium. Stock short stem and setup also road bike style with a low front end (saddle is also cranked forward). Think I’m almost between sizes and I sometimes reckon I could have gone with a Small as it is a long bike, but in the end I do definitely think M is more my actual size. I’m don’t feel too stretched out on it at all.

I am 168 and ride a small with a 110 stem.

• #11167
Yeah itll be too small then. Thanks

If i wanted something i could source pretty cheaply as a frameset, that had di2 holes and had fairly aggressive "roadie" geometry, what should i be looking for? I have absolute no preference of axle standards/BB standards or anything like that
Tyre wise i only wanna fit us to like a 700x33/35 -

croix de fer in a smaller size

• #11170
I don’t feel like my croix de fer (even set up to the same stack/reach as my road bike) feels like “aggressive road geometry”. It feels like a heavy slow tank. Don’t get me wrong, I love mine and its probably my most ridden bike and I use it for commuting, winter training and some touring but it doesn’t feel a jot as lively as either my road bike or even my cx bike.
