Why do you 'need' a disc fork?
I have a v4 pompino with cantis and it works well as a cross bike and with road wheels, and the clearance feels about right.

No way I’m going back to cantis. I live in the Peak District. It’s steep, it rains a lot, people don’t drive well!
I’d forgotten about arkose ss .. edit nope can’t see it anymore -

Here's my list of SS disc framesets with decent clearances, from looking for something similar:
Road steel
Genesis Day one disc
Bombtrack arise 2
Nature boy disc
Transition rapture
Omnium cxc
Surly Midnight Special
PompetamineMTB
Brother big bro
Kona Unit (SS version)
GT Peace
Genesis IO
Cotic simple
Singular Swift
(..loads of others probably, didn't really look that deeply)Alu
Trek crockett / checkpoint
Arkose
Dolomite
Bombtrack outlaw
Zoulou https://www.cnc-bike.de/index.php?cPath=21_73_1232Or any PF30 BB frame with an eccentric BB (problem solvers or ekzentriker).

Hubs gear version?

Wheels manufacturing do eccentric BBs for BB30 too

I've been off the forum for a month, now catching up and finding this.
Should I jut skip the next 12 pages or so?

I have 38c g one all rounds on 24mm internal rims (GR531DB) and they measure about 43 and are too close to my chain stays (rubbing when out of saddle - no good for mud)
I want some 700x35 (expecting they’ll measure a little bigger) tyres that will ride well on road and reasonably well off road, I’m not expecting miracles in mud but a good all rounder if possible. Have had gravel king SK before and found them grippy but delicate and a bit draggy on road, looking at terravail cannonball durable, anyone got a better suggestion for mixed surface tubeless tyres? (700x35)

If you want that kind of thread WTB riddler, Specialized pathfinder, continental CX speed, pretty sure there's many more... Tubeless or tubed?
-
• #10560
Tubeless pls... Riddler looks promising.... but is there 35c? I’m restricted width wise...
-
• #10561
I think is 37c, but there's shoulder knobs to deal with. They come in a lot of new bikes if you can borrow one?
-
• #10562
Pirelli Cinturato comes in 35c TL but lacks any knobbles
-
• #10563
I was selling a pair of cross boss but these work better with smaller rims
-
• #10564
Some of these don’t obviously have sliding or horizontal dropouts or they have thru axle which means new wheels!
I like the Omnium cxc- under 400 euro frameset seems good. Good tip that thanks -
• #10565
You just can't resist the Cannonball, can you?
-
• #10566
It’s just so deliciously boozy

Maybe a X-One Allround front?
My 700c wheelset currently has a X-One Bite rear, with X-One Allround front. Only because been riding some steep and loose on those.

I have the terravail cannonball
Very impressed. I was riding the WTB byways and needed more grip. The cannonballs give the grip and are faster on road than the byways and gravel King SK’s -

+1 for cannonball

Vittoria terreno dry?
I have a set of the Mix which I've used for cross and I think they're pretty good. Pretty durable and work well tubeless.
-
• #10571
I think the Terreno Dry tyres are a good shout. Very capable off road, even in damper conditions, but they ride well on tarmac too.

Finally a frame with moderate tyre clearances and a sensible bottle cage count for light gravel. Just needs a 52×11 top gear
-
• #10573
This is getting out of hand
-
• #10574
At what point do bottle cage bosses count as Drillium™?
-
• #10575
When they aren't threaded?
Last year's Trek Crockett or this year's Trek Checkpoint, both have sliding dropouts.
