  • So girlfriend noted there's more acid green on the bike than yellow and I remembered I usually ride with my Morvelo jersey which is dark blue/ acid green!

So there is it, I present you my Somec Elite SX in acid green

  • very clean.

    Pls acid green toe straps

  • Thanks and yes, I am looking for acid green toe straps (good luck :/)

  • yeah was my second thought.

  • They'll be hard to find...may have to go for something new. Zefal I think still makes Christophe leather ones

  • No, only three classic colors :(

  • these should do

  • don't really like them :/

  • (BTW I was being sarcastic, should have put in italics)

  • Sorry for missing it :)

  • I'm just offended you thought my standards were that low.

  • Lovely!

  • I offer a beer to fix that.

  • Cheers! It is a great frame

  • Sadly not in London.

  • Shame...next time you're in town then

  • I am getting more confident on her.
So today I decided to push her more...wow. She's there always.

Amazing stuff, so happy with her. Albeit...albeit...so far no-one has noticed her yet.
The Holdsworth Mistral got me plenty of looks so far ;)

    She's subtle.

  • Just found this thread. I always enjoy reading about your builds, Anidel. What top-tube and stem length have you gone for this time?

The acid green bar tape goes nicely with the similarly green 'Somec' written on the tubes, definitely the right choice.

I'll keep my eye out for it out and about; I'll be riding a yellow Fondriest, once I've finished replacing the bars, stem, brake hoods, tape, saddle, tyres, etc. (and after I've decided whether to go for a black stem or a chrome one - you wouldn't believe how much anxiety this dilemma has been causing me).

  • Hey welcome back :)

Thanks for that. I always strive for a great build within budget.
The bike is 56cm and it fits me nicely. The 58cm Holdsworth as well, I guess it's because of its laid back geometry.
The 57cm Moser feels long probably due to the long stem.

Thanks, really happy with the color choice as well. A bit more unusual and goes well with the frame decals, the jersey I'm using at the moment and the green Vulpine jacket!!

Do you ride in London? I ride every morning from Brentford to Liv Street St and back via Embankment, Hyde Park, Kensington High St.

So you're actually re-doing the Fondriest :) got a Current Projects thread?
