  • Constantly amazes me how often people who like sport find it really weird that some other people don't. I mean, seriously? Rugby?

  • I'll be seriously pissed off if Corbyn doesn't go to Richmond to support our lads there. I mean, how can anyone be prime minister if he doesn't like watching bike racing?

  • Surely if you aspire to lead the country, you might need to pretend to like things you're not that bothered about, so people will trust / relate to you. Maybe the Rugby is not a big deal, but there will be other things he finds distasteful, that he might have to consider being enthusiastic about later on. I wonder if he would go on Strictly.

  • Tory minister Mike Penning said: “As a rugby nut who’d go anywhere to see England play, I cannot believe anybody, let alone the Leader of the Opposition, would not support our country.”

^i don't want someone this unintelligent anywhere near government.

  • He should come to my local. There were two people cheering England, the rest were all for the Fijians. JC was not there.

  • elderly corbyn snubs rugby world cup because islamic state don't have a team

  • It's a shame he didn't describe rugby in class warrior terms. That would've caused real apoplexy in the right wing media.

    :D
    Stolen

  • I'll be seriously pissed off if Corbyn doesn't do at least one thing to make winnifred totally happy. I mean, how can anyone win the election five years before if he doesn't have the approval of winnifred on what may others want?

Tbh the only sensible thing for him to do is to step down immediately and appoint winnifred in his place.

  • I think the reason so many people relate to him and trust him is exactly because he doesn't pretend to like things. He seems to be himself and talk about and do what he believes, somehow this has led to people thinking he's honest and then trusting him, it's an odd concept.

  • Whatever Corbyn doesn't do must be something he passionately hates.
What, he hasn't drunk any tea today? CORBYN HATES TEA!!

  • No tea? I thought he was cool. Do tories drink tea?

  • Obviously he doesn't drink tea. Proper tea is theft!

    (Sorry, couldn't resist)

  • 90% of the British population drinks tea so it's very silly of him not to. What a PR nightmare.

  • I'm back on his side.

  • I think you might have missed the joke. Strictly Come Dancing is a frivolous celebrity TV show.

It is exiting to have a labour leader who doesn't care what most people think. I like Jeremy Corbyn. At no point have I said I would like him more if he went to the Rugby or sang the national anthem. Bit of a straw man argument building up here. I'm talking about how the electorate will react to him.

  • Well of course the appropriate response to a Corbyn led government should be a military coup

  • Ok, then let's hope Labour supporters became good to analyze the Tories in the same way they do with Corbyn and with his potential electorate.

  • Telegraph today reporting JC has changed his stance on Trident. If true (and that's a big if, given source and lack of JC quotes), it'll lose Labour a substantial amount of votes in Scotland.

  • @dubtap Fuck me, I thought that was a wind-up for a minute ... but that's a serious article?

  • Today's Sunday Times

  • Pinochet lives on. Maggie would be overjoyed.

  • Fucking hell. Are the army even aware of who they work for? I mean I know they like killing and stuff, but christ.
