  • Looks like DUPLO?

It is, and it feels like the right size now that I'm twice the size I was when I was playing with normal Lego :)

  • Yowsers!
Absolutely stunning, ride report as soon as please.
Best not show this to my youngest, she'll think I don't love her enough.

  • Wow. The wait sounds a bit annoying, but it certainly looks very special. Hope it's everything you wished for!

  • Where's the fade?

  • That looks great!

  • Misanthrope contrarian with superiority complex versus LFGSS hive mind.

Get your ring side tickets nao.

  • Wow. This looks splendid

  • Realist versus fawning sycophants.

    ftfy

It's a nice bike, I hope it brings joy to the @7ven family for many years to come.

  • Realist versus fawning sycophants

    Ding-ding!

    You ol' curmudgeon, you.
There are many LFGSS members I'm sure would be a pleasure to meet in real life.

    And then there's the others.

  • It's the Gates drive pushing his buttons

I reckon there's less Sycophancy than he thinks; the RAF paint job got a right mauling on 'ere

  • It's the Gates drive pushing his buttons

Don't forget the Thomsons and the Rotors and the Cambiums and the CK headset and the WI hub and the Hed rims. It's a veritable who's who of NAHBS show-pony builds :)

  • I bet you go to bed at night worrying about the money forumers spend on bikes.
Like, "Egads, if only they'd listen to me and everyone bought Ribble frames equipped with Shimano RS10 wheels, Shimano Claris, and M-Part pro headsets. Who needs noice things when you can spend the gazillions saved on Duplo to build poorly proportioned replica Empire State buildings?"

  • ^^Nah, we're missing:

    • ENVE rims
    • eTap
    • Colour matched stems and seatposts
    • Two power meters
    • Gum walls
    • That Fizik saddle that looks like the inside of a railway arch
    • ALL the bike packing gear
    • Spun brass bells
  • ENVE rims

I thought NAHBS regulations only permitted ENVE rims if you also had ENVE fork, stem and seat post :)

  • Who needs noice things when you can spend the gazillions saved on Duplo

Thanks to some judicious parting-out of collections bought on ebay, all that Duplo and a whole lot more cost me exactly nothing :)

  • I thought NAHBS regulations only permitted ENVE rims if you also had ENVE fork, stem and seat post :)

Not sure on that, we'd have to go to the judges I think.

The forks are Whiskey, which would give another direction for the matchey matchey.

  • Stoker wanted some clipless shoes so we settled on these. Really limited selection in 2UK :)
    My first Sidi's.

  • Rad...That box artwork!

  • Ha! Normally, when I buy NOS things, they're older than me. These, I was alive when they came out. Getting old.

  • Took this for a decent ride down the Thames Path today. Stoker loves it. So good to be back in tandem action again. Took me a while to get into the swing of calling out bumps etc. Tandem time really is a great way to bond with children!
