  • What does he say?

  • sacha barron cohens next film about cycling ?

  • Watching Frome's move again, bloody great...

  • 80's new romantic version of Milliband

  • Rumoured that Froome's bike had a different fork with more (less?) rake.

    Km 19.0 - Port de la Bonaigua (2 072 m) 13.7 kilometre-long climb at 6.1% - category 1
    Km 87.5 - Port del Cantò (1 721 m) 19 kilometre-long climb at 5.4% - category 1
    Km 143.0 - Côte de la Comella (1 347 m) 4.2 kilometre-long climb at 8.2% - category 2
    Km 157.0 - Col de Beixalis (1 796 m) (CS210-CS310) 6.4 kilometre-long climb at 8.5% - category 1
    Km 184.5 - ANDORRE ARCALIS (2 240m) 10.1 kilometre-long climb at 7.2% - category H

This is from KM 138.5 and shows the 3 climbs before the finish. The intermediate sprint (which will be taken by climbers) is just before this in the full route profile above:

Last few KMs are in that ^

  • Blimey - 2 black sections in the Cat.1 at the start of the day - they'll need a rest day tomorrow.

  • There are mountains all day, and if you want to watch the finish you'll need to tune in by 16:00 BST, as the earliest they could be there would be 16:19 BST although I would guess a 16:45 BST arrival.

It's a day for Quintana and Froome.

Although I was very impressed with Dan Martin yesterday and he's a hell of a climber but I'm less convinced the constant big bumps are his thing. If he does stay with the leaders today, my money would not be on him doing so by week 3.

  • The lower profile starts at KM 138.

  • A tough day for the grupetto, uphill start and a mountain top finish.

  • I like the switchbacks on the Bonaigua (they'll descend this side)

  • Contador is going to be popular with the non-climbers for attacking on the first climb.

  • Renshaw has abandoned, shame. Fell ill overnight

  • I'm calling valverde for this stage and Dan Martin second. They looked really strong yesterday before froome shot of in the end.

  • Quintana. He'll feel he needs to prove himself after Froomes effort yesterday.

  • No. Cav's Manx.

  • Robbie McEwen reckons Bert's about to abandon on this stage...

  • Possible Contador abandonment on the cards? He's ill and has a fever.

  • Sad that. For all the contaminated beef, he was an excellent athlete.

  • Undercooked steak?

  • There he goes... 👋

  • Does anyone have a clip of rolland "scraping his knuckles on a wall while descending at 60km/h"?

  • Sky playing this one well, Movistar got riders in the break with the aim to help Quintana later, but now they are 10 mins ahead they are neutralised.
