There's a video that was up on YouTube of Adam Yates' crash, but it's gone for now. Check out @Cyclocosm on Twitter for a gif of it.

It seems no grand tour is complete without an arch deflation these days

I've got a couple of hours to kill in Oxford this afternoon and wouldn't mind catching the end of today's stage. Don't know the city - is anywhere showing it?

Poor fucker didn't have a chance.
To his credit, Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour, went to the Orica bus this morning to personally apologise to Adam Yates.

Fucking hell, that's nuts, I'm amazed he's only got minor injuries (so they say) given that he was catapulted down the road...

Though apparently Hourquette d'Ancizan doesn't even deserve a profile pic. It's just a bump, nothing worth writing home about or something.

The earliest they should arrive at each mountain (BST):
13:38 - Tourmalet
14:28 - Hourquette d'Ancizan
15:17 - Col de Val Louron-Azet
15:50 - Col de PeyresourdeThat's the soonest they should get to them, so if you're watching TV you should be tuned in by those times.
I'm off to Chiswick for cake so I can get back in time to see the mayhem.

I'd been round the valleys and up to Pla D'Adet and thought that I would take a short cut back to Loudenvielle over what looked like a hill. It turned out to be the Col de Val Louron-Azet. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and had 39x23 as my lowest gear. By the top, cows were overtaking me on the road I was that slow. Beautiful view from the top, mind.

This clip of Yates' crash is longer, but you can clearly see that he had a big break on the peloton... the commissaires did the right thing to put him in white but it looks like he was pulling out more than a 7second gap here...

The Handlebar Cafe above the Bike Zone bike shop on St Michaels St is a cycle cafe and is central... it's probably your best bet although I haven't been there since a recent refurb so I don't know if they have a TV.

51 kms covered in the first hour. There'll be lots of tired legs later.

Does anyone know of an online radio (or other audio) commentary source please?

Pinot and Majka alone out front. You've got to admire Pinot, he never hides, even when his form isn't as good as he'd like.

Is that Nibbles falling off the back of the peloton?
-
• #623
Just turned on itv4 and am surprised that thibaults shoved himself out front. But does make me admire him more, because he looked busted yesterday... Wouldn't have thought he'd be good for anything apart from trying to hang with the leaders and not concede too much more time, but instead he's off up the road.
Chapeau! -

Couldn't have dropped that much more squarely on Yates if you'd tried.
I think questions should be asked about any members of Alaphillipe's family or friends by the road near the 1k mark yesterday... -

5live sports extra coverage starts at 3pm
Being dropped by Impey though. That was funny.
