He's won a stage at every GT he's ridden I believe. Which is an amazing record.
Might not be the case, but this is the 13th consecutive GT he's started that he's won a stage in. Which is very impressive.

Great sprint by the gorilla

Very true, although a great shame about the country hosting it.

Sagan is a beast, this was his Tour not Froome's IMO. A second again today, just an insane performance over 3 weeks. No fucks given.

Touching speech. Clumsy but touching.

One thing I will never get, wtf is it with taking your children on the podium?

Well done Chris ! Bossed it all the way, early into yellow and held it no matter what. To me it feels like you've grown into a leader of Le Tour, not "just" a winner.
Cav soooo glad to see you back ! The futures bright, the futures Yates ! I enjoyed that !

I think a lot of us who love Sagan tended to brush off Froome as dull but there's no denying he rode an exciting race this year, the speech at the end capped it nicely. I'm converted.
Did you see his head on the podium though, with all their technical innovations Rapha still can't make a cap that fits...

From the childhood memories I've repressed, generally speaking caps never fit.

Any children who spend long enough on the podium are eligible for UCI citizenship which means a Swiss passport.

great tour and a deserved winner
it was nice to be able to watch a lot of the stages live this year, to see each race develop, to see in real time the breakaways yoyoing off the front, some succeeding some failing, millar and boulting sounded like they enjoyed commentating with each other and had a laugh doing it great insight from millarand sagans rear wheel in the last 30m last night, such bike control and power

Greipel did win at least 1 stage in every GT he's ridden, he confirmed in yesterday's Vive Le Velo TdF talkshow. Great guy.
Hissy fit from Kittel, shame. The first flat tube for EQS, what a moment... Coquard out with a mechanical too but he took it with more class.
Timo Roosen crashed at the front of the 'train' resulting in a flat for Lotto Jumbo's sprinter Dylan Groenewegen in the last couple of km's. Too bad he couldn't try to improve on his TdF best which was 4th.
Sagan's acceleration was incredible! His back wheel slipped 2 or 3 times, really wonder if he'd have won it by an inch when it had gripped. Maybe the pedestrian crossings in Qatar are less greasy and he'll (not really) surprise us... ;-)
PS Even more love for the man: he didn't even mention his own disappointing slipping/sprinting result when asked after the finish, just said he was happy for Greipel to get the win and that he deserved it. Peter for president!

Great tour, enjoyed it immensely... I think Froome bossed it and Sky were the best team by a country mile...

I think it's about two things really. Firstly pro racers tend to be slightly absent in their children's lives so having them up there is a statement that the children are still important to them. Secondly I think it's a bit of a push back against the culture of a sport that still uses podium girls. The TdF has moved on a bit from scantily clad models but its still putting up kissing eye candy.

If I won the Tour I would have my little boy up there with me in an instant
We'll find out in Qatar later this year...
