Great. Looking forward to seeing pictures.
Do you have tubular wheels for the FMBs?
-
• #28
nope - not yet, still debating what rims to go for.
I am thinking either Velocity Major Tom (23mm), Remerx tubular (23mm) or Ambrosio tubular disk (24.5mm)
the FMBs are made to order - so I think I will have a while before needing to worry about the wheels - and I don't start racing till late Oct (racing hillclimbs up until then)

Shitty indoor pictures, need go cut down steerer and saddle needs to go up a couple of mm.

FMB tubs have been dispatched apparently - I was expecting a much longer wait given the start of the CX season...

Any chance you know the ID of the headtube/OD of the top headset cup?
-
• #33
Will get the calipers out when I am home this evening.

These are the top bearings for it btw: http://www.edgesportsuk.com/store/index.php/components/headset-bearings/11-4/headset-bearings-11-8-is42-28-6.html
OD:41.8 x ID:32.8 x H:6 x A:45°)

Thanks Dan - that's a fully integrated headset so that bearing sits in a race that's bonded into the headtube?
-
• #36
Yeah, bearing goes directly into the head tube.
-
• #37
did you go with the juin tech brakes? if so how are they?
-
• #38
yeah - only just bedded them in, so not had a proper test. First impressions are pretty good.

You had any trouble with the cables rattling around in the downtube? Every now-n-then mine start clacking away, and I just have to keep pushing and pulling them until it magically goes away again!
-
• #47
Yeah - likewise the rattles seem to come and go.

Couple more shots,
Post its first race (with FMB super mud tubs) and at the pump track

Cheers, its in Bristol (Cumberland basin)
It is all built - just need to remember to take some pics....
Took it out for the first ride at the weekend to bed in the brakes and cables - all seems fine, although I think the headset might need tightening a little as under (very) hard braking there is a bit of shudder.
