I've had this bike in a different paint job for a while and it's so, so good. The only thing it lacked was a sweet pastel hue. Then a friend finally agreed to sell me his pink one, and the Mint Crux tribute was complete.

Always enjoyed the minty Crux and your pink one is great too @Harry. What's the tyre clearance like at the back? I've got an old rim braked Tricross set up similarly but I fancy the racier geo of a Crux for riding the back lanes around Shropshire. Can just about squeeze a 42c into the Tricross. It's been updated to 11spd 105 since the below pic was taken.

Very cool! That's my definitely preferred shade of pink. I've had a set of 40c tyres on with no issue; this one has 42c, presumably with no issue either.
Is that the original alloy post? How do you find it, comfort-wise?

Cheers, I do love this bike! It used to be a very drab dark blue, I resprayed it with Montana rattlecans. Good to hear 42's will fit in a Crux too.
Nah, it's a cheap Chinese carbon one, I think the frame set and seat collar are the only original bits of the bike now. It's a really comfy, versatile bike, the slick 38s are perfect for the potholed lanes around south Shropshire, I've used it for everything from cross races to all-day road rides over the years.

Shorty's, Archetypes, the cockpit, the colour scheme... That's rad!

A couple of weeks back I was up in the shed I'm renting and got stranded by a car tinkering cockup. Eyed the Crux on the wall, found pedals for it, air in the tyres, oiled the chain and away I went. So good as always. I was planning on cleaning it up and sell it as it hasn't been used for three years, but I don't think I can.

Last little ride today. Bike is sold, so took it to the LBS to have them pack and ship it off.

I simply didn't use it any longer, so might as well go to a new home instead of taking up storage space. A bit sad. It's a fantastic bike and it felt so smooth and quick the 15 mins I had on it this morning. Buyer gets a great bike for the price – all because he accepts not having disc brakes.

I picked off the Carbon Ti wheels and sold it with RS81's, so they will get a new life some day. Still, with RS81, cheap saddle, Gravelkings, tubes and XT pedals it weighed in at 7,7.
