Peak fixie-fiddling was 2012 right?
The year when every belm under the sun was copying the Foffa business model by importing shit and selling as bespoke.Metal flake looks stonking, such fixie. Will brakless be installed to relive you rebellious youth?

Found this also in my part bin, Nitto Jitensha handlebar, base on my favourite sweep bar that I regretfully sold, the Cinelli Priest;
Mated with 110mm Nitto Pearl.
Which mean a revival of this;

I also have an NJS stamped Nitto Pearl too, need B125AA drop for this.
-
• #55
I wanted that frame so badly when you put it up for sale. In retrospect, it's still hawt(although the paint is horrific..)
-
• #56
The paint is horrifically 2007.

Does my memory serve correctly that it was a blb x bob colab and was barspinnable? Or was yours special order so you didn't have to suffer the blb logo on top tube?
Fucking hell that was a long time ago :/
-
• #58
I think the barspinnable one was Bob Jackson "Alleycat", but that was the BLB/Bob Jackson, I rub off the BLB logos, thank to Bob Jackson's inferior quality paintjob!
-

Ah yes, that tt logo is one of the ugliest things to come out of the pre-apocalypse era along with Tynans fuck ugly Argon18.
-
• #62
Time for a pre-apocalypse tarck biek thread? Will try and find a pic of my salmon pink Chas with gold brakes....
That Argon18 was kinda hawt back then, especially with the light sabre seatpost and monospok ;) ....

I went all hhsb back last autumn.
Is that when you fall off your skateboard and broken your bones?
-
• #64
And blue nitto drop too.
Can't find photos too.
Time for pre-apocalypse ride with racist Pisti and tallest Max.

The pic that inspired you to save me from myself. That stem looked fucking horrific on there.
Final build would have been fine were it not for the tyres...
Way back when we used mini guards to fill up the gaps left by abandoning 27" rims instead of using sensibly fat tyres...
Sadly the pics of my Chas were lost in the great forum change. -

What has happened to the idea of using the nitto adbx bars.
-
• #67
The thing about that bar, is that it's ovalised on the top, making it tricky slipping a quill stem that doesn't have a face plate, like this stem;
-
• #68
Colour looks ace. I personally would stick to silver polished components to let the paint shine.
-
• #69
What I thought but apparently not.
-

I bought this from you Ed, way back in the day! I then sold it to Paolo, the owner of the Santa Maria pizzeria in Ealing. A lovely smooth ride from what I can remember but about as stiff as a cooked noodle.
I wonder where it is now...
-
• #71
That required careful opening of the clamp, Work best with a 26mm stem and add the shim in later.
-
• #72
Yeah. But apparently can be done buy putting coin over the hole for the but and then screwing the nut.
Surley you would have the same issue with the shim as the stem (not getting it through the bends). -
• #73
Not if you use one of these Nitto ones.
Which you should for extra HPSTR PNTZ -
• #74
I have a pair of nitto shims that I can sell you if you need them

A little but still not as good as it was before the Apocalypse.
