Don't do it. Black stem and silver bars would suck. Maybe if u had lots of black tape.
-
• #53
do you know, that signature stem by Rita Ora could be ok, but would have to find her signature black tape.
-
• #54
You know, I've heard its quite rare

You are Lucky. My crankset doesnt has enaugh clearance. I tried a 111mm axle but the crank is hitting the chainstays :(

I was thinking maybe black bars too? But I have nothing to back all this up aha

afraid i don't want black cockpit, though it would be fresh. i wanna keep it silvery.
hometruths: that headset is this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coyote-Sports-Standard-Threaded-Headset/dp/B0048E6XXM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433525075&sr=8-1&keywords=coyote+1%22+headset
i put it on to keep the frame together for the pictures, it's a temp.

Fair enough, I think silver would suit very well.
Changing the headset to silver?
-
• #60
silver was the way to go. Especially since you ave silver cranks and rims.

btw, if your crankset is ISO, you can get this bb:

I have seen it on images and I'm fairly sure they produced it (↓). I've never physically come across it or seen anyone use it on a build here.

Andel cog, 16T, 1/8 and Andel lockring
together with the chainring size of 48T, 78.8 gear inches, in other words an easy ascend up the hills.
-
• #70
48/16 only has 1 skid patch...
also, did you have a look at any 29er rims?
-
• #71
future plans are higher teethed chainrings and cogs. it is just that this chainring goes well with the hubs.
29er rims? ha, nice one.
-
• #72
You should go 17t on the back if you want to keep the chainring. plenty big enough gear for road riding and loads of skid patches.
And yes, 29er rims, wider and since most are made for disc brakes no machined side walls. Sun ringle make (or atleast did) some nice simple silver 29er box section rims

You live in the Netherlands?
-

@Dry did not now just a teeth higher would give more patches, thanks for that. i did some browsing and reading on sun ringle and a couple of others. most of them are far too wide, starting from 25mm upwards, there wont be enough clearances to take the right tyre sizes in the frame.
lol. point taken. need something like on this bike
