  • Looks great!

  • Very nice indeed!

Are you going to put guards on it?

  • So nice!

  • Thanks, very pleased with it

I have some white Bluemel Lightweights that can go on, but reaqlly it should be bluemels Noweights, whcih are very hard to find and always seem to go for silly prices, so I'll leave it as is for now with just the spearpoint fitted. I doubt I'll take it out too much in the rain anyway, so shouldn't be a problem for now.

  • Amazing!

  • What are the straps and clips?

  • Straps were unbranded green ones that came form Muswell Hill Bike Jumble, don't know the name of the chap that sells them, soory-he sells lots of straps, bar tape etc and is usually there in case someone knows his name? . The clips are Catos adjustable ones I got from ebay

  • I really like what you've done with the handlebar tape - I want to do something like that. What's the white stuff at the top you've used, self adhesive?

  • Its just unbleached cotton tie tape that I got from my work. It's about 10 mm wide. I think you can probably order it from a haberdashers or a specialist archive materials supplier.

  • Love it!!!
    Nice stem too!

  • So 26 1 1/4 rims right?
Which tyres have you put on them?

Also, the rims are steel I suppose, what brake pads are you using for them?

  • No. these are 27 1/4 wheels. The post war RRA could be built for either-this one was for 27 1 1/4. They are Conloy ASP alloy rims with 27 1 1/8 tyres-impac racepac apparently made by Scwalbe. there ok for now, bit heavy though. I was going to get continental ultrasport 27 1 1/8 but couldn't find anywhere with them in stock. The brake pads are NOS Fibrax from ebay.

  • Ok mostly interested as I have Dunlop steel rims 26 1 1/4 on my Holdsworth and, yes heavy, but also stopping power greatly reduced. Went for the Koolstop pads , but they are bright orange

  • picked up some nice old green brake cables from Muswell Hill Bike Jumble the other week so fitted them today for extra matching paint job points
