Hi Guys,
I have acquired exactly the same frame as the one on here. it also does have a few corrosion problems but i have had it welded and will start building the frame up soon.
I have several questions and i am wondering if this thread is still active.
My first question is which BB is suitable for this frame? Also is there an alternate cheaper version of the colombus muscle? -

Bottom brackets are more specific to cranks than frames. BSA is all anyone can tell you without more information
Just popped some brand new veloflex master 25's on her this afternoon (thanks to @Cuddles ) they're bloody awesome.
Amazed at how much smaller they feel to Vittoria Open Corsa CX 25's which are my usual tyre of choice.
Pulled the bar tape off aswell and retaped - much smarter now.
I'd also made the mistake of spaffing GT86 all over the rims after I cleaned them with White Lightening to give them a protective coat of PTFE "goodness" that PTFE goodness is only badness for brakes making them squeal and jump all over the place. While I changed the tyres over I throughly cleaned the rim brake track and then gave the pads a quick and gentle sand before popping the wheels back in - made the world of difference - no squeal, very positive and predictable braking. The tyres and the brake attention have sharpened what was already a very lively ride up to something really really responsive, and it has the same kind of trusted feel my emonda has now.
However I think there is still a bit of play in the headset - @ptr is the headset you have the Specialized Mindset? I'd love to give it a go if it is? - the movement I "think" there is is so minute I can't work out if it's the slight movement in the tyre grip or headset... Perhaps I'm just imagining it and being paranoid... Either way I'm going to strip down the head parts, clean throughly, and reassemble with carbon assembly paste just to be sure....
