General Disc Radness (formerly disc wheel valuation thread)

Pretty sure it's for shimano freewheel but never anything but a spnk adapter on it. An this one is the same on both sides from what I can tell. There are ton of versions. What yours look like?

Virtually the same but one side is dished more than the other. It is quite an old 7 speed screw on wheel. Is your wheel dish the same on both sides?

Do you ride it on the track? I want a front disc for the individual pursuit, I wonder what difference the dish would make.

no, I bought it for bullshitting around cause it was 50$ with a good tire

id have thought the more dished side on the RHS non? thinking there would be more load so weight on axle being in a wider place.

Just respace and try it. Only costs a few bucks. The difference is minor.

Seriously whatever dishing there is, is obscured by a flat 21c tire and wheel look centered when I put it in a fork

I know! I have always wanted one and ended up buying one recently with the intention of using it for tt's. I have not had any time to train over the winter so it is 'spare' at the moment !!

Pretty sure my HED is dished the same on both sides and centred on the axle.

Spendy Spengle is quite cool. Not seen one of them before.

Going to stick to my plan though, to try and keep costs under control and keep the vision. I think I can pick up a Spin for less than that but still maintain 90% slave points.

Problem with the spins is they are mostly in USA. But stuff comes up. Spengles are rarely cheaper than that but lots of 26 MTB spokes in Germany/Austria

Anyone selling a track disc or disc covers at the moment?

Just missed out on some Raltech covers on Ebay which would have been perfect.

Are you allowed to use covers on the track? I thought accessory parts was a no-no.

Any recommendations for a valve adapter? I had to put the disc on to get to the post office (I know, don't ask) but I realised how crap the Topeak one is.
