I didn't realise that Tredz and Wheelies were sold to Halfords last year, which would explain why the original bricks and mortar shop has been rebranded to Overland Cycleworks.

As opposed to Underland Cycleworks? What a stupid fucking name.

I would definitely spend my pennies at an "Underworld Cycleworks" though

They're just another of the many bike shops that list items as being 'in stock'... When really it means that once they have your money they'll order it from the distributors!
I just ordered a rim from them on Wednesday morning because they showed it as being 'in stock'... So I figured It would ship straight away... The next afternoon I get an email to say they're 'processing my order' and should be able to despatch it to me the following Tuesday! And then I still have to wait for it to get here.
Had I known they didn't actually have it 'in stock' I'd have ordered from someone else. But there was no point cancelling once I found that out.

At least be honest and say that it's not in stock but can be ordered from the supplier and it'll take over a week to get to me... At least then you can decide based on the facts.

Do it, so I can nip there during a commercial break! :)

To be fair to Tredz, I once ordered a few small pieces including some bar tape and they phoned me to say the bar tape wasn't in stock, it would take a week or so and if I wanted to wait or cancel the order.

I really don't mind Tredz, Bought a bike through them which came in a decent time. Rule of thumb for me is use Tredz if I'm not in a major rush for parts etc.

Was it the right size and colour and year though?

I ordered some gloves, bar ends and that stupid shimano disc brake bleed funnel at 11:05, and they dispatched them before 17:30 the same day. And I got my £5 off. And I got Haribo.

Better than the service I got from Royal Mail, who didn't leave it under the tarp, like usual, so I had to cycle up the big hill to the sorting office. Cunts.

Giro Republic walking pads. Other places have them (e.g. Sigma), but I want a couple of sets and few others seems to have more stock in a 45.
And I know tredz throw around vouchers so can save a few quid.

Found one. I expect I will regret dealing with these people, but I'm not in a rush.

I've ordered from them before. Other than their bullshit stock level thing they've delivered (eventually) everything I've ordered.

Bought a lock off them recently. Got all the way through and then got an email saying they'd dispatch it soon as it was in stock. Didn't remember it being back order when I bought it but when I went and looked again it was and it wasn't too obvious so maybe I did miss it the first time.

Anyway, the wait wasn't going to be too long and it did arrive when they said it would plus they were already the cheapest place I could find for the lock and I'd gotten a voucher code from a pop up when I went on the site so made it even cheaper.

8.5/10 would shop again.

Ordered some shoes on Thursday, 5 days ago. Called them to check why the item hadn't arrived yet, and turns out it hadn't been sent yet because it was out of stock. No e-mail to notify me of that at all..
