What options are out there for a rack that attaches to mid fork eyelets and fork crown/crown eyelets with a wider platform than the standard nitto etc options.
I bought a rawlands porteur rack sometime ago which is perfect but they discontinued that style and I would like another for a different bike.
The simworks obento rack is nice but 200 quid...

Could you use a pelago or similar but just change the struts? Some wald struts or similar could be made to work

specialized pizza rack?

Hmm that's not a bad idea actually. Kind of forgot that the stays weren't fixed on pelagos.
Now looking into just getting some 10mm stainless pipe and crimping and drilling the ends to mount them.

I bet if you ask on here someone will have some spare wald struts. Sjs might sell something suitable

Specialized Pizza Rack wide enough? I just got one and it's a solid piece of kit

Does anyone know of a front rack that requires less clearance above the tyre than a Jackthebikerack (230mm)?
I have a specialised diverge in a 49 and there's not much room up front -

Maybe TIMTAS? He has a steerer attached rack and I think he does custom ones too.

The Carradice bar bagman also probably fits the bill, has two mounting positions so can be set high or low

Rack newbie question: I'm building a city bike to ponce around on, is it better to get a solid rack with built in basket, like a Velo Orange Porteur, or just get a Wald basket, which is cheaper? I'm not anticipating carrying heavy loads if that is a factor.

You can make a free wald if you can liberate a metal mesh shopping basket from somewhere. Lash to any basic from or rear rack.

I've had pretty much every combo.
Porteur racks take a lot more weight and can often take panniers too.
If you want light loads and flexibility to for a small rack and basket.
I have a trailer now so I'd don't need to carry anything super heavy on the front of my bike, so I have small rack / basket -

Wald baskets are hard to beat

Quick q - has anyone got any leads on ways to mount lights to a Pelago-type rack that aren’t the included mount? Wanting something under the rack at the front that doesn’t foul the tyre or impede getting panniers on/off. A problem-solvers type arrangement could work, but I feel like there might be an even better option out there.

cat3bit sent me some images of prototype mounts for 10mm tubing. Could message via etsy store. Some of these might work..if you have Exposure lights but are to the outside of the rack and will likely impede the panniers..

May be something 3d printed? There may be models out there on thingverse.
Can recommend Kdense's son for small print runs.

Anyone had experience with this rack from SantaFixie,
Or any of a similar style that mount with Jubilee clips?
Looking for something cheapish and small for a 26" build and this seems like it'll do the job.

I've had no problem with using P clips but if you have V brakes id go for something like this -

As they're stiffer -

Found a specialized pizza rack on Facebook.
It had to be bent a bit to go on a cross check fork but seems good so far.

That's a steamroller fork with v-brake mounts brazed on, I should know, I got the work done!
I found that drilling out the threads in the mounts on the rack make getting it centred much easier, just use a longer bolt with a nut on the back and it's very secure.

Ah great! yeah it's gone on a treat very pleased with it. the alignment with the wheel was perfect first time.
Thanks, that's plan B atm, in combination with a nitto m12, but I would rather have an integrated option if that still exists !
