Quick heads up, if anybody wants a very nice wheelset (Pacenti Forza on Hope RS4s) I'll be doing a sales thread this weekend.
Just had my quote for gas n electric (my 2 year fixed is coming to and end next month), was expecting an increase, but not that big an increase!

Looking on the bright side, weather looks fantastic for Saturday, so pink bike will get it's maiden voyage, very much looking forward to it.

Brief ride report.

Brief as in the ride didn't last very long, nothing to do with the bike, only got 3 hours kip, Mattnav wasn't comin out to play due to covid, and it's fuckin windy!

So, 1 hour, 1 rollie, 0 hot tasty beverages, 0 cake, some pics taken.

Friction shifting is lovely, brakes work, bars and saddle in correct place, tyres are chunky, frame n fork are fuckin lovely ( Winston, I love you, please lift the ban).

Thank you, can't wait for a longer ride, the weather looks pretty good for a while, and I've got 10 days off next month, so Peak District here I come!

Due to Specialized ceasing to make their bartape anymore, I've had to find an alternative, can confirm that Cannondale cork something or other is a very fine replacement.

It would, but I work on a reward basis, nothing less than 30 miles earns cake! Otherwise I would be rather rotund.

@Hulsroy , correct, as in Spesh don't do any bar tape no more, son of Spesh owner set up Supacaz, now moved back in with daddy, if you look on Spesh website under bar tape, it's all Supacaz stuff. Cheers pal.

The pink bike is really good, makes me feel good about buying a downtube shifter mount for my Peregrine.

Pink bike is what I initially had in mind for Winston 1, but bottled it because I had 700c wheels in the shed already.
Downtube shifters are great, had em previously and sold due to me thinking they slowed me down, not as convenient (going uphill) as flappy paddle shifters, but then I realised me being slow is what slowed me down!

Pics out in the wild are all well and good, but thought it'd be rude to leave my backyard wall out.

Crankset is great, how do you like it so far? And the smaller wheelset, which looks superb. I wish I had gone silver rims and spokes now, though at the time I thought I was building a different bike.

@stelfox to look at I love it, the brief ride I did yesterday was a pleasure, if a little bit windy. I really like all silver wheels, these rims were a fluke (found em whilst looking for summat else) . Really happy with the Scrabble logo.
@Tijs bit of a filter on that last pic, slightly more subtle in real life, not much though. The links are summat to do with Imgbb (photo sharing site), I could probably get rid of em, but haven't been arsed to so far.
