Forget all this nonsense, what colour is it going to be? Fadez?

what colour is it going to be?
Patterned to represent the air pressure at different points on the frame

That's a bloody good idea

Just going back to the intergrated hydration system.
It's a bit left field, but what about using the seat tube and having some sort of pressurised system with a hose running up through the sadle? Then there would be no drag from a tube.

The aim being to absorb fluid through the rectal lining? I think he's probably going to be breathing through his arse, so that might not work.

everybody out of my arse, now.
Like the idea about the paint, but I fear specialised did it or something....

They did this one, showing where the frame is stressed.

Brian szykowny, who works for Specialized on one-off PR bikes, has been working on a Shiv project that is based on the airflow diagrams from wind tunnel testing.
There are photos on Chris Riekerts Instagram. Looks pretty cool. They are calling it the FlowShiv.Keep up guys.

[nerdery] It would be next level if the different colours had different texture/roughness and then worked like turbulators/golf ball dimples and made the frame faster.
Rough texture at the front and smooth further on. [/nerdery]

thats the one I had seen @hoops, so it is out. That bloke is a bit of a dick, doing all the super cool finishes.

Is that the right way around? I thought you wanted a super smooth surface on the front half where the flow is attached, then a roughening midway to delay detachment. Ask @xavierdisley about trip placement :-)

My geared TT frame has had a custom textured aero paint job on it for years :)
-
• #122
yes you are right. A stripe just before the widest point of the profile or something... (Internet wisdom again!)
-
• #123
could you use stripes done with security paste to help with the aeroz?
