What did you go for?
-
• #54
Flo.
my HR was at least 190bpm....
-
• #55
I reckon Flo90/disc is a good shout.
-
• #56
Still no flo, but a definite temporary step in the right direction!

wom wom wom.....
Flos are here, currently still in their boxes and the bike is in Italy waiting for me pictures at the weekend!

• #58
How did the race go?
-
• #59
Which one?
I did a 50 as a practice for Rimini with this set up in 2:01:55 which was ahead of time expectations, I have challenge Rimini (half iron distance) this weekend, which is my first tri of the year.

They are going look awesome on the AI!

Ah, I thought the half was the weekend just gone, so you'll get to use the Flo set for the actual race then!?
My first tri of the year is this weekend also. I only managed 5 minutes in the sea on my lunch break today as I'm a wuss. SO COLD

haha, you'll get used to it pretty quickly, try and get in again before the weekend!
Hoping that Italy Sea temp is at least as warm as UK lake temp!
Put some tyres on last night just to get a proper look, the rear looks like a motorbike tyre with a 25 on it!
haven't quite worked out how im getting them there, the company transporting my bike (http://www.bikebox-online.co.uk/) are happy to bring them home with my bike, but im only allowed one check in bag, so I'm going to have to stuff the wheel boxes full of clothes and hide a holdall and wheel bag in my wife's suitcase to get them out there and then repack once i've landed!
So excited to try the whole thing out together.

Pics please!
Also, is your rear light held on with electrical tape?
-
• #64
yes and a double sided sticky pad!
should really glue it, but scared to, and it is rock solid as it is, it survived the horribly rutted H50/8 course...

They'll be awesome.
I was tempted to get Wheel covers and a 60/60 wheelset for the AR. But went With 88/60 instead considering the climate up here. Ideally I'd want Your exact set-up. But nothings flat or Wind free up here.
The advice I recieved regarding sea swim training. Was to wait untill the snow line climbed a bit and Train in the mountain lakes. Not overly tempted to be honest.
Hope the logistics og smoothly so you can concentrate on enjoying the race.

Seconded. Good luck and have fun!
-
• #67
Well we've all made it in one piece on the train heading to Rimini!
-

Bike pretty much set up, annoyingly I need a new front brake inner cBle but that should be too much of a problem, pretty happy with the way it looks!
Can't wait to take it out for a spin later on!

Congrats

Mean. Just the right amount of yellow. Now you just have to not brake to preserve the ano!
-
• #72
Awesome. So what's your nutrition plan like for the bike? Doesn't look like you are carrying a lot of stuff...
-
• #73
This is pretty much the modern day batmobile! Love it!

1 bottle of a carb drink (there are 3 aid stations son I can pick up more water) and then 4 gels Total of about 150g of carbs and then some water on top depending on how hot it is (at the moment it's pissing it down and about 15 degrees).
Haven't gone out on it today as it wasn't "in the plan" but have run and been swimming which was awesome but brutal - the sea today makes Weymouth last year look pancake flat although it's due to calm down...
nothing confirmed yet, but will probably Walker Brothers Fleet 86s, just waiting to hear back on waiting times, I do have a bid in on a set of Zipp 808s at the moment, but don't have much hope of winning those in budget, and option number three is a set of Flos in next weeks order...
