I have consumed your bike's weight in beers just this week.
-
• #478
Okay, just today.

I wonder how much anodizing weighs?
-
• #480
"Aluminum oxide coatings in the weight range of from about 200 to 600 milligrams per square foot applied in this manner have properties as good as or superior to coatings applied in traditional hexavalent chromium anodizing solutions."

Quoted as 16g heavier than mine? For a mere £360!
-
• #483
I was thinking more about removing the plastic bits

Is a bolt missing on the scale (130mm)?
-
• #485
All present. Weighed the same as the 120mm with the steel bolts in place as well.
-
• #486
I don't think so
-
• #487
Don't forget to measure the stem length when weighing. I remember reading that manufacturing tolerances for length can be +/- 5mm.

• #488
I'm only down to 6400g with pedals :(
I do have another 180g to loose when I switch my pedals and shoes though. Can't change much more, apart from going tubs, but that's not happening. Just fitted the Veloflex Records. They're really very nice.

Yes, but how much do you weigh?
-
• #490
I dunno, my kitchen scales only go up to 5kg.
-
• #491
Swapped out the 3T for a beefy Easton, which despite only 33% Ti bolts is still lighter
-
• #492
A couple of #testerdisapproved Alu sprockets (but so light!)
-
• #493
And we're done! Should be just about <5.5kg.
-
• #494
How's the rider's weight loss programme going?
-
• #495
The bike is 5.5kg, my weight doesn't matter right?
-
• #496
Would tubes with shorter valves help to lose 3 grams? @umop3pisdn
-
• #497
They're tubs
-
• #498
Shame on me!
-
• #499
20-30g to be saved there, deda superleggero?
-
• #500
Superleggero post and stem could save 80 grams, hella pricey though
No, you should stay in more and weight 10 samples of each length to see how much tolerance there is on manufacturing.
