That's one jaunty saddle angle!

It's for riding uphill. Instead of a dropper post it has a de-angler or dangler post that changes saddle angle down again for descents.

If you are sitting down on an SSMTB, your gear is too low

Iβve been using my SS Stooge Mk4 for a spot of bikepacking again this summer having not done it for a few years. Had a great trip around the new East Devon Trail a couple of weeks back and looking forward to the next one.
Gratuitous picture for the thread:

How many skid patches though?!
-
• #4492
Ha! 32/17 so 17? Is that right? I try not to skid, so fully unconcerned with that stuff. Did 9.5mi and 1100β of singletrack the other day. Felt great and made the same old trails feel new again.

Oof, 55 gear inches must have you spinning like mad! I suppose the dropper can help with that to a certain extent?
I tend to spin faster if I drop the saddle a little

βRound here there are very few flat sections and the ups and downs are many, but steep and short. So spinning out is actually rare. Averaged about 8mph on the ride the other day.

Wait, this is not the gravel thread!
I am thinking about selling the orange Indy fab just above in photo if anyone interested . Just not riding it since I moved away from South Downs .
