Do you run your mtb saddle much lower than on your road/CX bike?
-
• #1804
like 3-4cm or so
-
• #1805
that doesn't seem like a good idea

I suppose most SS climbing is done out of the saddle, but if you've got the saddle that much lower, you might be a prime candidate for a dropper post :-)
-
• #1807
the saddle is for brief moments of rest, coasting

.. now that I think about it I might have it only like 2 cm lower :-)
im trying to resist the urge to "go full retard" with additional elements of technicality (gears, dropper, etc. I know these ultimately lead to full sus carbon rig costing an arm + leg). already gave in to sus fork :/

I've got myself a SS fully rigid MTB with mechanical brakes, still wouldn't be without my dropper.
And I only do CX stuff mostly.

On a long enough timeline all bikes become a DH sled.

Paint job is a bit vomit inducing though.

I think the skinwall tyres and matchy fork don't help it. Frame is nice.

A bigger frame, shorter stem and flat bars this would be very good!

Now that is more like it :)
