vigil event for the lady who died today
Edit: been advised to edit my post to show that I am not an insensitive twat by posting this. Merely posting as relevant and could prove a conversation starter as to if you're a twat or not by even thinking of attending such events..

those deathride people need to fuck off. the woman hasn't even been named yet and already they're using her families grief as an excuse to push their half-arsed agenda.

^Indeed (original post edited out of respect for rider)

I agree with you as it can be overwhelming for the family and friends too.
I posted this as it was relevant. -

it may be worth your while to edit your post to reflect this - as it stands it could be interpreted that you endorse their twattery.

so, another death via tipper truck / construction industry vehicle?
reckon there is value from the reporting being specific about the vehicle involved and commissioning company/industry;
RIP.

Awful news. Thoughts are with the rider's loved ones.
(edit: leaving out my previous thoughts on specific details)

Lorry was an old 32 ton roll-on roll-off waste container carrier. Just like the lorries involved in the fatalities at Ludgate Circus in April and October last year. It was loaded with scrap metal for re-cycling

deffo a heavy vehicle by the looks of it (surely an 'HGV'), thx for posting,
the follow-on questions would be: did it have any safety features etc. - in other words, has the commissioning company done all they can to prevent this sort of incident occuring (?);

Probably best to refrain from any more speculation, or at least move it to another thread. These threads are intended as notification/marks of respect for the fallen, as per Forum rules;
Fault/Blame:
When posting please remember:1) The family and friends of the person injured may read it.
2) Legal action is always a potential, and you should not make statements that could affect the outcome of such a statement if found via Google.
As such speculation over who was at fault for any given incident will not be tolerated in Rider Down threads.
This includes the re-telling of third party accounts.
Any comment which strays into supposition or apportionment of blame will be edited where possible or deleted in it's entirety. -
