These big jockey wheels are ugly aren’t they?

From an aesthetic point of view, putting the bike in 53x11 looks great but the big jockey wheels makes the angle of the bottom edge of the chain all wrong. Like the bike has a high BB. Not slave.

They're expensive & rowdy, seems suitably HHSRB to me.

Looking towards getting this back on the road in the next month or so. Gold chains are a no-no, right? Was thinking tanwalls too, but is that done? Definitely not both at the same time.

I reckon it needs a flatter stem, but don't really want to lose that original monster.
Any recommendations that'd look suitably chunky? Normal diameter stems look weird with the thick tubes.

Don't bother with gumwalls, just get latex tubes for the GP4000.

Gold chain might be a nice touch, but I'd replace the seatpost and garmin mount first. TI seat post would be amazing, continuing the silver seat tube. Or Deda Superzero if you don't fancy that.

Got a plainer Garmin mount on there now anyway, but looking at a k edge type one. I quite like the seatpost as it's the original, but yeah - bit too busy. Was thinking stealth superlegerro or zipp. Matching post/stem that way.

super leggero is always a good choice regardless of bike. such light, so strong, perfect setback

boring, not made very well, shit branding and the rear hub makes a horrible noise
