• I’ve had a look but can’t find any of my photos... it was decent though!

  • Is there a bike behind all those bags?

  • Readers work in progress- trying to build a relatively up to date mtb on the cheap from forum and eBay bargains- free Fuji frame, eBay singular fork, cheap boost wheels taken off some crazy £5000 e bike- and the rest all dated dusty bits out of garage. Should be ready for summer!

  • paint the forks black, take the rim decals off, and put a shorter stem and wider bars on, think you'd be good to go

  • Agreed, only just got the wheels but might explore that. The fork will stay for now until I decide if I like it, need mounts etc then I’ll get them repainted black

  • I like the forks in blue.

  • I’m half with you. Without the red wheel stickers it might be ok. Orange, grey, blue. Not a terrible mix?
Also it reminds me of a 90s sid I could never afford

  • Just cover it all with mud.

  • We got plenty of that at the moment!

  • Here it is.

@snoops has first refusal. So I'll put the details if they're not interested.

    It's essentially an unfinished project.

  • Looks great, but how's the reach with that? Looks incredibly painfully long.

  • Yeah, you need to be a big person to keep it as is to be honest.

But it really is a project for someone.

  • I went there

  • The Marin up the page is up for grabs.

    Comes with this cockpit,

    52 c-c Seat Tube
    58 c-c Top Tube

Doesn't come with the rack, pump, bottles etc.

£60 for you Monster lot before I put it in the classifieds.

  • Why the hell don't I live in the UK???

  • Because it sucks here?

  • I got it for not a lot of money so I'm just moving it along :)

  • Kindergarten expedition bike. This has seen a year of heavy use now, also combined with a trailer. SRAM has been faultless on this. The Basil basket is getting a little rusty :/. The Bobike One seat is solid and has more user friendly belts than Yepp/Thule. The adapter is a little springy though, better be careful over harsh bumps for the little one.

Spring is coming up, it will get a clean then.

  • Pink accents are killer

  • What are your thoughts on Jeff Jones('s philosophies on) bikes?

(Once again) I went into the rabbit hole that is his videos on YouTube, and he has some quite unconventional ideas on bikes. I'm still on the fence about most of the stuff he says, but to me it doesn't sound like complete nonsense (unlike some other controversial self-proclaimed bicycle prophets). Has anyone on here ever owned or ridden one?

  • Had a Jones 29 Plus 135 rear (now called the LWB) for a year. The more upright, weight on pedals, unweighted front takes some getting used to but its a really comfortable ride, especially for long distances. Descended on really rocky stuff ridiculously well for a fully rigid bike. Dont think I have ridden a more fun bike in that scenario. Build quality of the frame was superb with a lot of detail you only notice over time.

SWB is supposed to be much more nimble in teh singletrack. LWB more of a mile muncher. Not tried an SWB as for years they were too small for me.

  • I'd really like to try one. And I think the truss fork looks good - I didn't know they could be made lighter than a regular fork though.

  • I really like a lot of the ideas, but he suffers from the same syndrome as Chris Porter - has some interesting thoughts, but completely incapable of understanding that there are other valid viewpoints and not everyone wants or needs the same thing.

I'd love to try a full spaceframe/truss fork setup, mind.

  • There’s a Jones Plus frame in green on singletrackworld classifiedswith the truss fork. I’m very tempted.
