The wheels on the Firefly are 26". 26x2.5 Hookworms. Killer bike. The owner puts together great looking builds.

Hookworms are ridiculously heavy, CRC quotes 1250g for the 26" ones and from what I remember that's pretty accurate. I'd imagine they are intended for some rad high energy use I know nothing about, but still, that's double the weight of 2.35" super motos.

ya. I have some Tioga fs100 that have a similar look and size but are half the weight..

Test rode a Genesis longitude today. Felt good, not too heavy, but then I do ride a cross check, so used to riding a tank. Would get a 16" , that way drops won't be a problem. Would get a complete bike, as the olive/army green is much more preferable to the grey/putty that the frameset comes in. The alt bars that come with it are comfortable and hand position feels natural. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions.

Bit long for drops, no?

Tried a 17.5" in keep pedalling manchester, we banged a pair of drops on, not too bad, so for me 16" would be easy to reach, due to head and seat angles it's not as long as it looks.
Had a good think over the weekend, gonna hold out for summat less mtb, more road/tour. -

What's the bottle /flask cage on the fat bike?

Looks like a Topeak Modula with the rubbish plastic clip removed (it comes off) and then a bunjee around it. I sent my Topeak back and got the bbb fuel tank, it has a much sturdier clip, and you can remove it the same way if you need something flask shaped on there.

Anyone put in any miles on a pair of WTB Nano 40s? I've been eyeing them up as a replacement for my current FireCross/Knard front/rear setup. I have one coworker who blew through a pair in a couple of months and hates them, yet all I can find online are shining reviews...
yeh I think they are maxxis hookworm 29x2.5
