  • Nice one +6pt, that would be amazing.
It's offers like this that make the forum a amazing place.

  • Will also need measurements, w x h of the original bits you want redone :)

  • The decals are above the min insert line, which is totally matt carbon below (presumably for a better grip on the shim clamp). Vinyl would look okay (hard to cut at such small sizes though), but the originals are defo super thin water slides.

They (shims) grip really well, and you don't need much tension on it to hold firmly. People crank them up and they split or splinter. The post is bomb proof though as its solid carbon!

  • The stated weight of the Ellipse is 169g which is quite a bit lighter than my new 3T carbon post!

Was gazing at the frame this morning and I really do like the almost fishscale effect on the carbon tubes.
A lot of effort went into the finishing of these frames that's for sure!

  • Got the Corima Ellipse in the post today courtesy of +Campagnology.
It's in a lovely condition with brand new shims. I have made the decision that I will get some new decals made up for it and have it lacquered.. +6pt, will get some decent pics, sizes & refernce material over to you when I get a chance!

  • Incredible. Definitely long enough?

  • I'm 5'11". It's the medium size . It will need to be right on the max line but will just about work. I normally need to show quite a bit of post.

  • With regards to the stem situation, the Nitto range of bars can fulfil most requirements, with a non-oversize clamp area.

  • (Only just seen this thread...)

7even - I got a nos-ish ellipse a few months back from an Aussie on ebay. Tbh I can't remember the condition though would hope it would have the stickers in good nick if you need a seatpost muse.

  • That would be amazing if you could provide some super close ups of what you've got.

  • Any specific ones you'd recommend @Dammit?

  • I really like the shape of the Nitto Noodle:

I've got the Nitto M106 on at the moment, but might swap back to the Noodle:

And I just got a pair of Nitto M190 off BMX-Fred to try:

All very stiff, beautifully made and fairly freely available.

  • I want 106s for my rotta but can't justify the cost at the moment.

  • Was the Nitto Noodle installed before or after you discovered the Fizik Versus saddle?

  • Fluro before Nitto.

  • Your Serotta looks incredible @Dammit. So these are noodles?
Might have to rethink stem and bars.
What are the cable adjusters and do your have a spacer in the CK headset? Great attention to detail!

  • Noodles are lush (but no cable grooves): much like DA AX but without the flat top, Hubjub are cheapest AFAIK.

  • So I really do have the best lady friend in the world.
Compact Rotor 3D24 cranks ordered and will be under the tree for christmas! eeekkkkk
Now the question, Q-Rings or Q-XL?

  • Praxis.

  • I had a spare CK 1" nothreadset but needed a threaded number for this. I ordered a conversion kit from AVT in the US as I couldn't find one in the UK and the headsets share cups. It arrived in 8 days and no import tax or customs charges! Bonus!
In case anyone is curious, I'll put a photo of it up here:

  • now all you need is a suitable quill stem and pleasing bars to go with.

    ;-)

  • Oh my! I am coming round to the idea of a Quill stem. Quill it might have to be then!
Might have to be a black ergostem!
£100.00 for a second hand stem can GTFO.
