Totally my fault, I made the mistake of looking at the weather. Then planted the seed of cancellation in my team mates heads and went out and forgot about it.
(Also, any excuse to avoid getting up at 9 on a Saturday)At this rate we'll be finished in time to make the downs game! :)

Schlong Shots vs House Party:
Game One:
Schlong Shots 3 - 2 House PartyLouis x 3
...
OG
DanGame Two:
Schlong Shots 2 - 2 House PartyBen x 2
...
Elliot
DanGame Three:
Schlong Shots 1 - 2 House PartyBen
...
Elliot x 2Can't really do much of a write up for this as it was self-reffed but it was a very fun and hard-fought game from both teams and despite the lack of Refs both teams were very fair in conceding a fowl if there was ever a rule contested. Thanks again for the game Schlong Shots and the throw-ins afterwards, was a great morning of polo - FUCK THE RAIN!!!

We should do a write up of each game! Ie:
It was drizzly but not too bad when we started. Despite having to fix up the court and play in the rain it felt pretty relaxed and enjoyable a with both teams acknowledging that basically this was a six pointer (sorry for the footballing parlance)...
I always get a massive rush of adrenaline at the start of the first game, usually this causes me to pass widely and get badly out of position, but this time it resulted in an alright first goal!
House party had already started playing fairly high and after the first goal they carried on playing fairly attacking polo (ie no one in goal! ;) whilst we basically just attacked on the break and took a lot of fairly speculative shots.
At one point Dan hit it towards the d whilst Jackie had fallen over and the ball was swept into the goal by her back wheel as she picked herself up, an unfortunate bit of bad luck after she'd been pretty solid in goal for us up to that point.
From the reset Ben took the ball forward while I went down the right wing, he passed a perfectly weighted ball down the middle past the two defenders and I turned in to hit it from the top of the D. 2-1
Dan responded with a proper ripper, pretty far out, but fast, hard and basically undefendable.
Unfortunately for HP, not long after I got my hattrick. Final score of first game:
SS 3 : HP 2
Louis 3, Jackie ( OG), Dan 1 -

Game 1: Xing Xang 2 (Josh x2) : Dip Dye 2 (Spikes x2)
Game 2: XX 4 (Mat x2, Cam x2) : DD 3 (Ed, Josh (OG), Woody)
Game 3: XX 5 (Mat x2, Joshx3) : DD 2 (Spikes x2)This match was slated for an 11am start but the teams only started lining up at quarter past 12!!!
Game 1: Xing Xang 2 (Josh x2) : Dip Dye 2 (Spikes x2)
Shit loads of standing water on court with DD sitting deep and waiting to hit on the break. The first goal arrived via Spikes when a deflected shot from XX sent him through goal.
The rain was persistent and with DD holding a good defence, XX shots were either saved or just aquaplanted in the puddles! Josh finally got the equaliser with 7 minutes gone.
DD stuck to their plans, just waiting for the ball to break. The next move saw Spikes and Woody changing passes and the former slotting through 2 BBs to put DD up with about 5 minutes to go.
There were lots of shots raining down on DD's goal, but Woody and Ed were both solid in goal while Spikes was using the water well withattempted clearances ending upwithwater on the opponents faceson more than one occasion.
DD could have sealed the game with 3 minutes to go but Ed shot just wide after pushing out from goal. It was XX keeping the ball and drawing players out, it worked and Josh got sloyted in the equaliser with less than a minute on the clock.
