It's the MTB length, but @socialamnesia tells me I could buy a new road centre section for less than a tenner and use it in one of my road bikes. I'm still happy to sell it to him though, but haven't heard back yet.

Kinda, yeah, but not desperate. The standard GXP bbs I've had have worked well.

A shimano or SRAM tube might fit it OK. Or you could run it without, just make sure it's kept clean and the axle is well greased.

How much the Hope would last longer then Ultegra?

It's probably more worthwhile on an MTB or CX bike to be honest. Hence it's made by 'ope.

There's just no guarantees, that's all. I'm not sure what you could be doing to a road bike that would kill off HT2 BBs so quickly you'd consider going for something that, on paper, is probably a bit more robust but probably not four times the price more robust.

HT2BB, I like that. It is a bit wobbly again. Well under a year.
