Lovely (in my opinion). You have very small hands though.

Lovely
Opinion varies. I bought my 464 largely based on not liking the aesthetics of the T1

Careful. People can get very touchy about that sort of thing.

I think that HT gusset makes the bigger frames look better

HT gusset makes the bigger frames look better
I think the gusset is a problem which only gets worse with bigger frames, even the gate-sized T3s and T4s are affected, although much less so as there is at least a nice big fillet on the plastic frames.

are you talking aesthetics here? becuase if you are its ONLY a matter of opinion.
which in mine, id take a t1 over a look 464 366 days a year -
• #465
Yes, just aesthetics. I have no idea whether the T1 is faster than a 464.

Depends whose riding them :-)

Depends whose riding them
You might be right for the wrong reasons. While it's possible that one or the other is faster for everybody, it's also possible due to frame interactions with the rider's body that some people will be faster on the T1 while others are faster on the 464.
Back at the dawn of evidence based aeros, when dinosaurs walked the earth, I understand that some riders on the first gen Giant TCRs tested faster with the blade seat post while others tested faster with the round one.

super interesting. is this psychological as well? does a red bike make you faster than a black one? its extremely evident in vehicles where red vehicles are much more likely to be caught speeding and such.
-
• #469
Pft! Or the ambiguity was intentional.
Tstr is referring to the fact that some riders may be faster on frame A while others may be faster on frame B independent of the CdA of either frame on its own. In the same way that I tested faster with a giro than a lazer tt helmet, even though many people get the opposite result. So no not psychological, but I’m sure there was research saying people in red sports kit outperformed people in other colours, but I wonder how reproducible that work is and what the effect sizes are. I’d guess small but I suppose that is what marginal gains is all about.
P.s. there was also a study about the effect of motivational/de-motivational messaging on sporting performance. There was a podcast somewhere that joked about adding demotivating slogans to the back of cycling kit to distract opponents in the peloton.

Not sure whether anybody has tested bikes, but there is a known psychosomatic effect which makes playing in red favourable. I don't know whether it has been proven whether it makes you play better, your opponent play worse, or a bit of both.
When I was a boy, the fastest local tester was John Pritchard. He always had the latest and "best" kit, not because he necessarily believed that it was objectively faster but because he could always roll up to the line knowing that he wasn't out-gunned on the equipment side.

I suspect selection bias on the part of both the offence and the defence.

Didn't dentist use to wear those before C-rona? Surely can't be a coincidence?

Joined this club tonight ( ironic as I have a dentist/teeth phobia )
Wanted one of these since I first saw the Barnes Riis team CSC documentary.
Literally just collected so don’t pick too many holes yet.
Swapped my Brompton for it !!
