So is this bike only legal in ironman events?
So if I never go to Richmond park/sigma, I will never seen it
-
• #253
So what's a close to mint T1 frameset worth these days?
-
• #254
Why? Got one for sells?
-
• #255
i saw a 56 go for silly money on eBay a couple months back
-
• #256
Possibly, although I'm torn at the moment as it is bloody lovely.
Thing is I don't really use it as much as I'd like as Derby Velodrome is proving a ball ache to get to for sessions/racing and I need to build a "best" road bike for next summer.

So what was "silly money"?
-
• #258
Paying over £300 just for a track frame.
-
• #259
Not all track frames are the same.
-
• #260
put it on ebay at 99p start no reserve and see?
-
• #261

-
• #262

Crumbs, that's some final price.
Not sure if I'd sell complete or part it out. Campag Pista crankset and BB.
Seeing that price does tempt me.

Bet you'd get someone to pay £800 for the frameset on Pedalroom. There was a T1 for sale here for £800 recently, not sure if it sold... I paid £850 for my T3 though.

Lol and seeing that price puts me off :-)
Searching on here shows a couple of T1s sold in the region of £750-800 for the frameset. But, while those kind of prices seem possible I'd probably say it's still an over-valuation. I think they are £1k new and so for an aluminium frame with multiple owners I'd say that £500-550 was more reasonable. For comparison, I think @umop3pisdn paid £850 for his full carbon t3 and you can find plenty of p2c frames in the £4-500 bracket.
Sadly, all that still keeps it out of my price range. When I wanted an S1 (an aluminium road frame I would consider to be very similar to the T1) It looked like the framesets could be found for around £250, and I ended up paying £500 for the full bike (minus 1 wheel) inc full da7900 groupset.
Edit: ^ got here before me.

Also a bit of a crap time to sell on eBay I reckon. I would hold off until Spring time when people decide that the ONLY way to do a track induction at HHV is on a Cervelo
Note: I'm one of those people, and lost that auction

Perfect time to sell to a Midlands Mamil looking to do a bit of winter track at Derby however...
-
• #270
I thought bellend purchase prices were exclusive to people living within half a mile of Richmond park?
-
• #271
There's a greater density in London for sure, but there are dickheads in other parts of the country too.
-
• #272
Paying more than £250 for a 2nd hand aluminium frame is total lolz.
-
• #273
Also - that triVelo is just the worst thing ever.
-
• #274
No but why pay more for this over the Dolan DF4?
-
• #275
I guess things are worth what ever people want to pay for them.
Why buy a Colnago Master frameset when you can buy a fancy carbon job.
Depends what you like to ride and what it's worth to you.
Indeed
