Hi guys, a couple of changes not permenant just to see if they worked, I picked up a Corima 4 spoke that was meant for the Look 186 I have and could not resist trying it on the Stonehenge. Changed the rear DA AX mech as well, its an 8 speed and the Corima runs 9 but non index shifters work just fine as an 8.

I kinda liked it but really after a disc for the rear, so took it out for a shake-down and its fast the Corima is lighter and more responsive than the original wheel and suits the tight geometry of the frame, the tub only just fits and the extra gearing helps.

This brings us back to the inherent problem with Lo Pro,s and weight distribution under heavy breaking trying not to lock up the front and feather the rear when all your weight has shifted to the front. Add some seriously wet roads, patches of gravel and wet leaves (Im in the countryside) had a few hair raising slides legs flailing to keep balance and an interaction with the grass verge after front slide out.

So stripping cleaning and putting away in the loft now, till next spring as I don't want to end up as a statistic anyway last couple of pics from this build, enjoy.

Suprised front is sliding out with so much weight over it. Would have thought otherway round. A / B roads in teh country are not to be taken lightly for any road user mind. Compounded by staring into tarmac (or a periscope). Mine 700c and still got visibilty issues #sketchy

You need to find some of those mad Shimano AX aero brakes.. to match the mad Shimano AX rear mech, i love the way they dont use any cable outer like conventional rear mechs.

Shimano AX brakes have one tiny disadvantage, they don't stop you.....

Although not too much stopping power may have helped but they are on the cards for the rebuild after getting the bike chromed and sprayed.

Why would you chrome a spray a bike that was already finished?

stonehenge cycles is an excellent name, love a good megalith

^ The paint is not original to the frame/forks and its is looking a bit tired in places, I fancied a cream white over chrome with some nice detailing.
