PRO were posting video of Sky training for the TTT on FB this morning. I thought Moscon might have rolled a tub but three riders wheels failing?
-
• #9978
Dont they all use Hed?
-
• #9979
I think shimano got fed up with all their sponsored riders/teams riding unbranded hed3s so developed their own trispok. It's supposed to test pretty well.

The wheel's structural integrity went before the tub came off.

Too much torque from the rim mounted motor...
-
• #9982
Looks like all three hit a pothole
-
• #9983
They're all amateurs, can't they use Arrospoks like any sensible person?
-
• #9984
Fancy having to write 'PRO' on your wheels to distract from the opposite fact. Bad!
-
• #9985
Proof, if proof were needed, that Sky draw more comments when it goes wrong for them than when they win.
-
• #9986
I'm inclined to disagree but I think that either feeling could be challenging to prove, statistically.

I just think it's such a shame that the current Sky situation has left myself (and probably many others) unable to watch without a hint of suspicion when G goes for a long one and successfully rides away from the group. And all this despite years of excitedly seeing him develop into a very accomplished cyclist.

From a viewers perspective, 2 UCI WT races on at the same time is shit.
-
• #9989
Why? He's clean.
Just enjoy it, it's cycling.
-
• #9990
Wish he'd concentrated on the Classics - he did well in a long stage yesterday.
-
• #9991
Oh don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it massively!
And yeah, trying to watch T-A and P-N at the same time is tricky. Although if it's anything like yesterday, the mountain stage will finish just in time to flick over and see the sprint.

It was a bit more like none of the group wanted to work to follow him. Jungels was on his wheel no problem but swung off, then Castroviejo starts looking round at Caruso to do the work because he's got the jersey to defend, but Caruso's shagged because he's just bridged up to them solo.

bro do u even PVR?
-
• #9994
Nah I don't. But point was we only get a little bit of PN live today, because of TA live too.
Too much excitement for one week. Space it out, way better for viewers. -
• #9995
Good good.
Yeah, but I'd liek to watch PN live from the beginning today, it'll be great racing in the first hour. They really need to sort out their live coverage.
I really would pay a couple hundred pounds a year for a subscription TV model from the UCI or race organisers or so, if it meant I got better coverage.

I watched the end of about 4 stages of both races last night and a Langkawi stage. Been busy so have to bulk watch. For lesser races I don't mind knowing the spoilers so just catch up when I can.
-
• #9997
Could they actually broadcast all of the race all of the time? I always assumed viewers got a bit of a raw deal simply because they don't actually record all day?
-
• #9998
They don't record all day right now. That's my point, they could change the model and do so.
On days like today it would be good. The first hour will be full on racing.
-
• #9999
Only lazy students actually have time to sit around all day and watch hours of boring racing (after 10min of interesting breakaway attempts that can be covered in highlights). :P

Ah gotcha. Yeah it would be great if the infrastructure was put in place so there was just a more expensive paywall available to unlock the full day's coverage so you could pick and choose how much you have access to.
That'll buff out.
