Presumably as a super dom rather than team leader I trust. And yes, shocking signing by Orica really, but with Tinkoff and IAM folding, a lot of riders available on the cheap

Presume they got him cheap enough not to care...

What's toxic about it?

OBE try and give a squeaky clean image...but

Was dropped but suspicion still stands

Glad he's not going to that Saudi Glory Wank Project with Nibali as had been rumoured previously.

Saudi Glory Wank Project
Who else is on this btw?

It's not just that, although it's a major factor. He was long rumoured to be one of Dr Michele Ferrari's clients, which he confirmed in 2013. Of course he only worked with him for a year and never doped, but a) I don't believe him and b) how many other 20 year old neo-pros could afford to work with Ferrari?
A lot of teams have dodgy staff, and OBE are one of them with both Matt White and Neil Stephens, who has the (dis)honour of being the only person implicated in both the Festina Affair and Operacion Puerto, as part of their management and, given cycling's recent history, I accept it's difficult to get staff who know about pro cycling with a squeaky clean record. But it is quite another thing to hire an active rider with a very dodgy past, especially when you recruit him to guide your young and upcoming GC riders.
It's disappointing.

IAM folding at the end of the season?
And I assume that Bora will now move up a level à la MTN-Rebecca last year?

Ryder Hesjedal quitting Trek and retiring?

IAM announced they were folding at the end of 2016 during the Giro. Some good riders there to be snapped up.
I don't know if it's confirmed yet, but I'd imagine Bora-Hansgrohe will be a World Tour team next season. The UCI will certainly encourage them to move up.

The amount they are spending on Sagan and his entourage you would hope so, he's getting more then he did at Tinkoff, and that was when there was a bull market with the mooted arrival of Alonso's pro-team. With two folding the opposite applies now.

Specialized chucking money around to keep him on a Spesh ?
Hopefully we'll get Sagan advertising cooker hoods or showers next year
-
• #8464
Id love to see Sagan cooking

Pretty much sums it up for me. How do you get to two missed tests and then miss a third? Seems irresponsible when you're world champion in a sport which has a murky past.

How do you keep it from leaking to the press until after the CAS ruling? What was BC's role in this, i.e. why did they find her appeal?

I hope Bora retain Sam Bennett and Shane Archbold for the upcoming season.
-
• #8468
Bennett definitely has a contract with them for next year. Not sure on Archbold yet.
Their 2017 roster is here, albeit incomplete at the moment;

Shane Archbold has glorious hair.

Team taps'n'extractors. Cycling is very odd when you think about it.

Cycling has a long and honourable history of association with home improvement companies, including makers of flooring and other materials. :)
