That stage finish looked familiar.
Same route as last year or did I see it in the Vuelta?

Thanks for sharing - missed it all after being dragged into a meeting! I look forward to Kirby's rejoicing this evening.

Not sure Froome will be happy to lose so much time to Contador.
Great to see Hugh Carthy climbing with the best.

Also starting to wonder what Scott Thwaites could achieve with s stronger team around him.
He'd probably end up riding for some else.

Anyone see Dwars? Lesson in throwing your bike before throwing your arms up. Ouch.

French sprinters getting all cocky

This could be useful

Did you read Coquard's comments afterwards? Thought he had it, then Debusscheure just nipped him, said something like "given what's happened this week, it's better that a Belgian won."
Was about as far from cocky as you can get.

Debuscherre came from way back, made it look like most of the front 10 weren't sprinting. Gaviria wasn't for some reason.
I felt for GVA after his lone slog into the wind
-
• #6212
Gaviria went about 100 metres too early, always disastrous on a deceptively uphill sprint.
-
• #6213
GVA doesn't give a fuck. He's just racing deep to pushing into top form.
Millar called Dan M a 'freak' on twitter. Can't help but get connotations when people use works like that.
-
• #6214
hehehe
-
• #6215
Celebrating early is cocky. He got schooled. Win first, then celebrate.
-
• #6216
Gaviria
was sprinting for the 250m line and died in the arse.
No velodrome 'ere, Chop.

Based on the context, I don't think there was any hidden meaning, but it struck me as a strange word to use.
-
• #6218
Yeah. It is just the word that IS used to describe someone doped up.
Maybe I'm just cynical. -
• #6219
I saw that and thought it was an odd choice too and he has been quite supportive of him previously.
-
• #6220
I assume they would know each other quite well...maybe he knows something?
-
• #6221
Need a case(s) of this for the week ahead, wonder if the local posh bottle shop will have some
-
• #6222
Wout Poels looking to sneak the overall today? Looking strong...

I've just bought a Kwaremont glass in Bierhall Deconinck in Vichter. The circular base of the glass has cobbles relief pattern and there is a tiny cyclist climbing up the stem. It's genius.

oooof nairo!

Chris Whoom?
Cheers, I wouldn't have seen that without the link. Great racing!
