I just pay through the nose for Eurosport ...and still watch on Sporza tv if it's broadcasted there.

Maybe if you set your VPN to Belgium you'll be able to catch some of their live streams?

I just went to check out discovery plus and they’re not offering any kind of free trial. Seems odd

If you were on GCN before they would have sent you an offer code for a free discovery trial. I think 4 months. EDIT it was 3 months
