Pog will take time back on the Columbier, Amerands and twist the knife on the Loze. He will just mark him up the Platzerwazel and/or follow any of Vinnie's attacks and finish at the same time. Pog is straight up faster than Vinnie IMO.

Jumbo might well let breaks go on the mountain stages now because one thing that does seem backed up by evidence is that Pogacar has a better sprint so they will not want to risk the time bonuses.

In 2 interviews (for Dutch and Flemish TdF evening tv shows) yesterday Vingegaard said that the stages that really suit him best are still to come, so this 'perception' of the journos and pundits might have something to do with his own ideas. One of them here.

Re Pog and suffering in the heat, he said as much himself over a year ago in an interview on the Geraint pod cast.

In a question from G on how anyone is going to beat him, he did say one thing he struggles with is real high temperatures.

This may be a little red herring all the same, as it’s only in relation to how his opponent can cope with intense heat and on what parcours.
